Must give some of these a try. I don’t do enough with cucumber.
They are so versatile and delicious, enjoy!
Will do
These all look delicious, Diane. I’ll have to give the German recipe a try. I didn’t realize until an adult that pickles were made from cucumbers. 😆
Thank you Ab! Did you know there is a pickling cucumber, they are smaller and short.
My grandmother always made bread and butter pickles and the German cucumber salad. Sooo good.
We put the bread and butter pickles in a Mason jar and I eat them right out of the jar! Your grandmother was a smart woman!
The versatile cucumber! We sometimes make the Cucumber Appetizer as a snack on Christmas Eve – not only does it tastes great, but also looks like Christmas 🙂. I like your Tangy Cucumber Avocado Salad the most (it’s a little green, but if you add avo it must be a winner)!
What a great idea for Christmas. Our store bought (off season) are usually bitter at Christmas so I never gave it a thought. My favorite is the Thai recipe.
Love them all! 😋 So many delicious ways to eat cucumber!
Yes there is so many ways and they all have their own delicious flavor.
Right about now, we need ten recipes!
Right and I love it, the season doesn’t last long enough.
My favorite garden time, I’m always sad when they are gone.
Cukes with tomato and onion is a summer staple. Add some olive oil and a bit of garlic. Let it sit for a while for the flavors to meld. Then use some good, crusty Italian bread to sop it up. That makes your brains just fall out!
Yep! I just picked my brain up off the floor! 🤣 You had me at Italian bread and sopping it up, YUM!
All ten sound absolutely delicious, Diane! Can’t wait to try them all. Thank you for sharing your great recipes.
You’re welcome Kellye!
Looks delicious! I’m going to make Tzatziki for the first time today. Hoping it turns out well.
Thank you Katelon. I had to Google this tzatziki Katelon. It sounds delicious but I would have to leave the mint out.
The recipe I found to use only uses dill. She also had a great recipe for chicken to use in gyros, with the Tzatziki sauce, and it was marinated chicken tenders, marinated in yogurt, olive oil and spices…sounded yummy.
My husband loves gyros!!!!! Dill would work for us, thank you Katelon!
The blog where the recipe is that I used is: https://www.themediterraneandish.com/. I had the Tzatziki last night and only used 2 cloves of garlic and it was plenty for me. Her gyro recipe marinates the chicken in yogurt and other spices. I looked at her spanakopita recipe too and it looked good.
Awesome, thank you Katelon!
Beware though…I signed up to follow her blog….figuring a recipe or two a week but got daily posts…meal plans, what to stock for Mediterranean diet, an ebook of recipes etc.
Thank you for letting me know Katelon.
What a variety of cucumber salads and sides! Your garden cucumbers must be in full swing.
Yes it is, I love it when it is cucumber season! Thank you Linda.🥰
These look amazing! Can’t wait to try them, especially after what I learned about cucumbers’ nutritional value in your last piece.
One of my grandsons loves cucumbers, so maybe I’ll have him be the taste tester. 😉😋
Thank you Ann 🥰

I’ve seen a few of these things on the dinner table in my day – that is how to stay cool this Summer. “Cool as a cucumber” as your recent post told us Diane.
Yes and with the heat the south is getting they need some! Thank you Linda.
That’s for sure Diane!
