German Cucumber Salad

I made this German Cucumber Salad to use with our home grown dill that needed to be picked. You can make this in about 10 minutes and serve it immediately. This creamy, crunchy flavorful dish is a new favorite in our house.

In a small bowl, place all of the

ingredients except for the cucumbers.

Stir well.

Place the cucumbers into a large bowl.

Pour the sour cream mixture

on top and toss to combine.

Place in a serving bowl and serve immediately.

    • It is perfect for summer Tony. It looks like we are going to have a large crop of homegrown cucumbers again this year. I will definitely be making it again. Have a great 4th of July!

  1. Mizeria often hosts on tables in Poland as an addition to meat. Instead of vinegar, I give lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic and must have dill.

  2. sounds interesting. My grandmother used to make a hot German potato salad with hard boiled egg, bacon and vinegar – it was an interesting combination.

  3. I love cucumbers and eat them almost everyday, a great salad, I could also add another love of mine avocado.
    Thank you.

    • We found this especially delicious and unlike our traditional cucumber salad. Our garden cucumber plants are full of flowers so hoping for another good crop this year. I bet avocados would go great with this!

  4. I am going to try this! Of course, I now have to wait and wait for my cukes to come along. Hopefully, they will be here before frost time! My garden is very late this year.

  5. Made it tonight. Yum! I tried your other cucumber salad with vinegar and sugar, tomatoes, etc. I added some chopped onions to this one, too. Thanks.
