Pour popcorn into a large microwave safe bowl.

Cover the bowl with a microwave safe plate that is

larger than the bowl and put it in the microwave.

Cook on high for 2-5 minutes depending on the power of your microwave.

Watch and listen to the corn popping and when it stops popping it’s done!

Use hot pads to remove from the microwave as the plate and the bowl will be hot.

Add butter or your favorite topping and serve.

  1. I do the same except in a paper bag (doubled lunch sack for a small batch). I fold the top down once or twice and “stitch” it closed with a bamboo skewer. You are right about monitoring it closely as it will catch on fire!
