French Apple Custard Cake

French Apple Cake is a dessert with a custard, apple rich base and a cake like topping. Slices instead of chunks of sweet apple made this a little different than the traditional French Apple Cake. The recipe is from America’s Test Kitchen and I made this in a cooking class that I attended.

Delicious 😋
Thank you!
Thank you
I’m not really a cake person, but this would do me very nicely
I don’t know why they call this a cake, it wasn’t anything like a cake I ever made but it was delicious!
🙂
That looks amazing! Will have to give this recipe. a try!
Thank you Paul and enjoy!
Looks delicious and it’s crying out for crème anglaise, chantilly cream or ice cream
Yes that would be a perfect topping Sheree. Unfortunately this was a cooking class and they didn’t provide that. Lol
Shame!
🤣
This looks really look. Did you learn any other recipes at the class? How are you feeling?
Yes it was so rushed and we had to work with a partner. In addition to this cake we made a Crescent Roll Blueberry Cream Cheese Braid, a Breakfast Enchilada, Beef Tamale Pie and Apple Fritter Bread. I’m about the same, thank you for asking my friend!
That was one jam packed cooking class. Take good care.
Thank you!
Another one from the kitchen of the goddess. But, why are you taking a cooking class. You should be conducting them.
I would love to do that but that’s why I have my blog. For what they charge for cooking classes I could have enough money to pay someone to make my website better. Lol I like to learn anything I can about cooking, you should see all the cooking shows I watch on tv.
Looks good–like a pie without the crust!
Thank you Linda 🥰
Wow, that looks incredible. Will definitely check out the recipe!
Thank you it was delicious.
My pleasure.
Wow! I might have to make that – it looks so scrumptous!
Enjoy it was very good. Thank you 🥰
Very fancy Diane and I’ll bet it is delicious with the custard filling.
I usually love really sweet desserts, but with the custard filling it made this perfect without the extreme sweet. Thank you Linda!
My father had an ulcer many years ago, so puddings and custards became the norm for desserts for quite a while. I like baked custard.
Mouthwatering with every bite!
It sure was Mary, thank you my friend!
