It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 10-06-23

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
NO SPAM OR VIDEOS WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is SEVEN LAYER DIP which we eat as a meal. To see my step by step directions with pictures and a printable recipe card click below.

Tonight we had carne asada street tacos with homemade guacamole and refried beans with a Mexican 4 cheese mixed in 👨🍳🤓😋👍🏼🍻
Sounds delicious, I never had a street taco.

Something fun to finish https://viewfromtheback.com/2023/05/27/the-musette-honeycomb/
I love the way this sounds Sheree, thank you for sharing it.
My pleasure Diane
Tonight, I am thinking Liver & Onions with some bacon thrown in for added flavor.
Him having been through awful surgery and me so tired from doing too much and our new dog loving liver may fit the bill for what our bodies need more of right now.
The dog and I will forgo the mashed potatoes as we do not need that lol. I will do riced cauliflower and Brussel sprouts for the veggies.
I use the frozen slices of liver just barely thawed so I can get them apart. First, I cook the bacon and when it is almost done, I add the thinly sliced onions and cook until soft, then I pull the bacon and onions out of the pan and put aside while I sauté the liver, until it is almost done (not shoe leather) then I add them back into the pan to get them nice and hot again.
He will get premade mashed potatoes or a baked one and our veggies as well. 2 slices for him and one slice for both the dog and me.
Have a great weekend!
My parents love liver and onions. So much so that when I was a kid we had it all the time and now I can’t stand it. Lol I hope you are doing better from your surgery! Liver is so healthy, enjoy and I hope you are enjoying your weekend too. 🥰
He is mending nicely but they took so much blood from him oh and the new dog eating anything 🙂 supper was perfect, and the liver was fork tender. Thank you for your well wishes. Off to do more leaf peeping have a wonderful Sunday!
Leftover curry I’ll toss over some potatoes!
I love leftovers Dorothy, fantastic meal!
This delicious salad would go perfectly with my Tna steaks. https://newclassicrecipe.com/2023/10/03/tuna-steaks-and-roasted-broccoli-when-japan-met-tunisia/
Thank you for sharing Bernadette!
Always happy to do so.
Yummy, this dip looks really good.
Thank you Chantel! I went to a healthy recipe class through our metro parks a long time ago. They made this and used all the low fat ingredients they could and it was still delicious, but of course I make it at home with regular ingredients. 🤦🏽♀️
That looks good – at first glance I thought it was a taco salad in a “chip bowl”.
Thank you Linda. You know me, simple and nothing fancy. Lol
I just bookmarked the original recipe. I love your idea of making it in separate dishes.
We do too Linda, my husband loves green pepper and it would ruin the entire dish for me if it was in there. We love being able to add our own ingredients.
