Bacon Wrapped & Cream Cheese Filled Dates

Sweet and salty always makes for a delicious appetizer or snack, not to mention the bacon! These were as good hot out of the oven as they were cold right from the refrigerator as a snack. The flavor of the bacon went all the way through the dates. They are so good and perfect for your Super Bowl Party!

Slice the date on one side and remove the seed.

Fill each date with cream cheese, about a teaspoon.

Wrap one of the bacon halves around the date and secure with a wooden toothpick.

Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Place the dates on the parchment paper without touching each other. Bake in a preheated 400º oven for 15-25 minutes until the bacon is cooked and brown. Turn them over after 10 minutes.

Place the dates on a paper towel covered plate to soak up any fat.

Then serve!

Those look amazing! We’re gonna have to try them soon!
Thank you they are definitely a keeper. I hope you love them as much as I did Todd!
Sounds delightful!
Thank you, they are addicting!
these sound very good
Thank you, they are Beth but just make sure there are plenty of people to eat them right away or you will want them all to yourself. Don’t ask me why I know! Lol
)))
Thank you for reblogging! 💕
“Devils on Horseback” – my daughter (chef) just made those for our party. Instead of cream cheese, she used mild blue cheese. They were delicious and gobbled up by our guests.
Oh how ironic! I would try blue cheese if I like it. Lol
Total touchdown!
Thank you Bernadette 💕
These would always be a party pleaser!
Yes and always the first to disappear. Lol 💕
Man, that is not a “thing” I would have ever imagined. Now I gotta have one. Damn you (fist raised to the heavens) Damn you Diane!!!!
😂🤣🤣 You will thank me if you try them Stephen!
Bacon. A gift directly from God Himself. And you managed to raise it to another level.
Hahaha thank you JC!
I never would’ve thought to do this with dates. But everything tastes great with bacon!
It is a great party snack Ab and I agree!
I love dates, thanks for the recipe.
You’re welcome, they are so addicting and disappear fast!
Must try this
Let me know how you like them Sheree.
Will do!
Yum! I’ve never had these before, but you had me at bacon! Printing now… Thank you, Diane!
They are amazing Kellye and made a lot as a party finger food. You’re welcome!
I have made these, and one cannot stop with eating only one!
I figured that out! The only good thing is, you can eat two and it’s only one piece of bacon. Lol
Oh these are good! I have made them before!
I had them at a party and went crazy over the taste. This was my first time making them Nancy.
Super yum with the combo of savory and sweet! I’ve had these before and it is difficult to control one’s self!
OMG you are so right! My husband doesn’t like dates and I put them in the refrigerator and ate them cold in 2 days! Two here, a few hours later 2 more, well you get the picture. Lol
You had me at bacon-wrapped!
I know right!
I use thick sliced bacon for breakfasts. Do you use thin or thick sliced bacon for this?
This was a regular cut I don’t think the thick would get done as mine overlapped. If you try it let me know will you? You have my curiosity up now. Lol
I don’t think the thick would work well either, but I thought I should ask which you use. I’ll go with the thin. I think even the wrapping would be problematic. Thanks, Diane.
You’re welcome and enjoy!
That’s something new – who would have thought of mixing bacon, cream cheese and dates?
They are at most parties around here, very popular not to mention delicious.
My mouth is watering. Do I have to wait until Super Bowl Sunday to make them? LOL!
Heck no! I could eat these every week!!!! I have been having fun with sliders too. Thank you Janet!
Oh yes, I can totally understand that this could be a winning snack! We will probably prepare them outside on the fire … 🔥 (and you’re probably saying: “Oh, these mad South African fire lovers”)!
Oh no I am not! I think the extra flavor of the grill could only make them taste even better (if that’s possible)!
