It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 10-21-22

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type one recipe you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe, however it may take me a few days to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam. NO SPAM WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is BOURBON SIRLOIN STEAK.
Now I am certainly no cook, my Friday What’s For Dinner usually involves a local supermarket and their hot food bar but the question I have is, as to “NO SPAM WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED”, what if someone has a recipe that includes actual Spam? HeHe.
Now, man, if only that BOURBON SIRLOIN STEAK of yours was on Adam’s hot food bar tonight on my way home . Looking good!!
Hahahaha Canned Spam is allowed, just not the other spam! Thank you for making me laugh Stephen and have a great weekend.
A rare Friday night I’m cooking instead of takeout. 🙂 Will be making chicken congee on the Instant Pot. So simple but nutritiously soothing. Happy weekend!
Wow what a nice change Ab. Lately, service and food is so bad around here I would rather eat at home. I’m sure it was delicious like everything you post!
Thanks Diane. 🙂 It’s very rewarding to cook and eat your own food. Cuz yes, everything is so expensive these days!
Gosh, that looks delicious. Here’s something I occasionally cook for my OH https://viewfromtheback.com/2018/08/26/the-musette-speedy-sunday-roast/.
Thank you Sheree!

We do not drink, but I am buying some bourbon for this recipe. It looks soooo good! Diane, you are my hero.
We don’t either, maybe 1-2 times a year and only with company, but I always keep a bottle for this recipe and bourbon chicken.
And here’s my Friday recipe: https://chambersontheroad.com/2020/11/13/slow-cooker-stroganoff/
Thank you Betty!
Thank you so much!
The photo is fantastic. This looks so good. Will definitely try this one!
Thank you!
This looks fabulous Diane! You inspire me as usual! Hugs, C
Thank you for your kind words Cheryl❣️
This Friday recipe it is a great idea. I’ll set up something similar as well. Here is my Friday’s recipe, I hope you’ll enjoy it. Any comment is more than welcomed, of course.

Smoked chicken thighs on a bed of fettuccine with marinara sauce
Oh I love any smoked meat!!!! Thank you
BTW, Diane, yours is one of about 3 blogs that will not let me “like” a comment. I also have to sign in every time I want to leave a comment.
I tried to visit your site by clicking your link above and it told me it no longer exists?
I tried using my old email address and it didn’t like that. When properly logged in, I clicked on my name in your blog and it took me to my blog as it should have???? (But I still can’t like things. Oh well, it could be worse.
Today I was able to get on you site. WP drives me crazy!
Oh, my! That’s a problem! I think WordPress has some big issues. I’m going to try logging in for this comment with old credentials.
They sure do, since I was able to get on your site today, the only thing that was different was the comment send button. It was all a solid color with no word send until I clicked it.
I have spent many years on WordPress without problems. Now there seems to be multiple problems. “If it isn’t broken, don’t try to fix it!”🤷🏻♀️
Exactly ❤️❤️❤️
This looks tasty Diane – I think I can smell that sizzling steak from here. I don’t remember if my mom ever cooked with bourbon, but she did use wine for her pot roasts as I recall.
I had to get meat out of the freezer. We picked up our side of beef today and I don’t think we could get another pound of anything in it! Good for another year, thank you Linda!
That sounds good – plan ahead. My friend Ilene, a former coworker, lives out in the country in Canada. She has ordered a side of beef for years – now she is widowed, but still goes through that side of beef over the Winter.
OMG! We don’t even eat all of our side of beef. I have as many steaks from last year as I got this year.
Well, how does Ilene eat a whole side of been by herself? She is a widow though she does have some nieces come to visit here … hmm. She does have several big dogs (2 Goldens and 1 Black Lab and she had two Shepherds which she lost within months of each other) … maybe that explains it?!
That sounds about right!
I have never seen a side of beef, so you telling me that makes sense, she was treating the pooches bigtime!
