Easy Creamy Homemade Coleslaw

Don’t ever buy coleslaw dressing again when it is this easy and super delicious too!

In a small bowl add the mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar.

Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Pour the shredded cabbage into a large bowl.

Pour the dressing onto the cabbage and using a large spoon, mix well. Refrigerate a few hours or overnight.

Coleslaw is so easy to make why would you buy it, or its dressing?
Exactly!
Who knew coleslaw dressing was so simple to make?!
I had bought it all my adult life until I came up with this one. It was so expensive for a dressing but we bought a name brand which always costs more.
A delicious recipe. Sometimes I add wasabi to the dressing for a snappy asian taste.
Oh my I bet that tastes awesome!!!! I have had it with horseradish before but never wasabi, great idea!
Beautiful!!!!
Thank you Dorothy!
I have always loved coleslaw, my stepmom used to make a 14 day coleslaw, that’s what it was called. I think the recipe was similar to this yours
I think the 14 day recipe uses much more vinegar than my recipe. The 14 day may even be considered fermented but I’m not positive about that. We were thrilled when I made this the first time. We always bought Marzetti’s in the past but never again.
This looks so full of flavor – yum!
Thank you Mary!
We make our coleslaw dressing exactly as you do Diane! Yummy!!
Great minds think alike! Lol
I am ashamed as I always buy the mix. You do make it look easy Diane.
There is no shame in buying the mix Linda! Cabbage is cabbage however you get it.
Also good for coleslaw–mayo, lemon juice, and a bit of celery seed.
My husband loves to put celery seed in it too. Thank you for your ideas Samantha!
Wonderful recipe!
Thank you, we bought the cole slaw dressing for decades until I finally figured out one to make that we love more.
