No Bake Buckeye Candy

Peanut butter and chocolate is always a welcome treat in our house. I love that these can be made a week or more ahead of time if you want and that they don’t need to be baked. Set them out for your guests or put some in a Christmas tin for a hostess gift.

Wow! Choc and peanut butter… Mmm looks nice, too! And the recipe seems doable, even easier than choc crinkles (and I can do it)!
I’m not confident in my baking skills, so no bake cookies should be a great choice for me!
These are fun and they don’t get stale like baked cookies do. They keep in the refrigerator for a lot longer, but not in my house as they are gone in days. 😀
Hahah! That’s so funny
Peanut butter and chocolate are always such a winning combination. These look so tasty!
Thank you so much Paul!
Too good! We’re away now in our camper, but I’m thinking I could make these next summer and take them to Michigan. It’s a nice treat, and I can share with family. Thanks for your post!
You’re welcome, my favorite peanut butter treat!
I remember you sharing these before. Love the name and how cute they look!
One of my followers called them peanut butter eyes. 🤣 Thank you Ab.
Nothing like peanut butter and chocolate, and maybe chocolate and raspberry!
I love the way you think!
Beautiful and great ! 🙂
Thank you 🥰
Do these freeze well?
No but I refrigerate them for 2-3 weeks. They probably would keep longer than that but not in my house. Lol I place waxed paper between each layer stacked in Tupperware containers. Always put waxed paper on top too. I actually like eating them cold as well as room temperature. These are my favorite if you can’t tell.
Ah yes, peanut butter eyeballs, a/k/a Buckeyes. Wonderful and better than Reeses cups!
OMG what a great description Linda, I never heard that before!
I think my mom called them that – they DO look like eyeballs don’t they? That’s probably a Michigan thing about the Buckeyes. 🙂
Haha more than likely. My son is a huge Michigan football fan and you know how that story goes.
Oh ya, I do know how that story goes – I guess your son is happy U of M is going to the Rose Bowl then.
That’s for sure! Meanwhile we have to hear how Michigan is better than Ohio State.
In my humble opinion, they could just use the assistant coach as he won four times, but who am I to say that? They felt special since they didn’t have Harbaugh for that game and beat OSU. And here in Michigan, we’re always advised to obey the speed limits and don’t give dirty looks while traveling to the “big game”.
Oh so true about the assistant coach Linda. He’s done a fantastic job, but I won’t tell my son that. 🤣
I think that the assistant coach is up for an “assistant coach of the year” award. That’s funny – there are many Harbaugh fans, aren’t there? 🙂
Anyone would be delighted to receive these Diane
You are so kind Sheree, thank you.
My pleasure Diane
Oh wow, those look so yum!
They are the #1 favorite thing I make, everyone loves them. I make them a week or two before Christmas and my kids and grandkids raid both of my refrigerators looking for them. Lol Thank you Pooja.
Omg how nice, this does sound like the perfect treat for adults and kids.
Ooh, nice (one of my favourite recipes from you – maybe because how they look)! I think there might be quite a few fingers licked while making this recipe! (Oh, and it was interesting to read about the buckeye tree and that you made necklaces out of it … the creativity of kids, hey).
That buckeye tree was huge and it was hard raking them up. Living in Ohio our college football team is the Ohio State Buckeyes. People at craft shows make everything they can out of the buckeyes and sell them.
Now I totally understand the importance of the buckeye tree!!
You are absolutely killing me. Hugs, C
Hahaha I will be blogging sweets until Christmas.
