It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 04-21-23

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
NO SPAM OR VIDEOS WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is New Orleans Style Shrimp & Rice.
Looks very tasty Diane and here’s my contribution this week https://viewfromtheback.com/2021/11/13/36645/
Thank you Sheree!
This shrimp and rice looks delicious and I’m really hungry right now. 😉 The recipe I am sharing is Lisa’s Famous Potato Soup, which I found years ago in a Midwest Living Magazine. It’s available online if you search for it. It’s made in the crock pot and is the best potato soup I’ve ever had.
Thank you I have to try this! https://www.food.com/recipe/lisas-famous-potato-soup-79195
We’re making a fish and shrimp curry with brown jasmine rice. Can’t wait!
Sounds amazing Dorothy! Thank you
I typically don’t plan a Friday meal but today I did. We’re having Scalloped Ham and Potatoes and it’s been in my collection for nearly 30 years! It’s one of hubby’s favorites.
Love scallops what time is dinner?
Actually, no scallops in this recipe, rather, it’s scalloped as in scalloped potatoes. We usually eat around 5ish 👍
Another favorite, my mom made scalloped potatoes a lot when I was growing up.
Not a good day today. I have a CT scan at 2:00 to determine if I have pneumonia or lung cancer. I don’t think I get to choose either. So, dinner tonight will be…??? (but I can be there as soon as I can after that!!)
Oh NO!!! Stay positive and sending prayers JC. 💕💕💕
So funny, I had shrimp as well, Diane. I had shrimp and asparagus in a red roasted alfredo sauce (from a jar, I cheated) over fettucine.
Yummy Carla, my asparagus should be popping up any day then I will be eating a lot of it. Thank you!
My local grocer had some in (not local though) and I thought it was time. It had a great taste, but no like the homegrown stuff.
This looks yummy Diane. I used to like when coworkers and I went to Fishbones in Greektown years ago – the menu was all Cajun and lots of spicy dishes with shrimp.
I don’t know why it surprises me how much you love spicy food. Thank you Linda!
We didn’t have it all that much, but yes I love spicy food.
Your blog makes me so hungry every time I visit it!
Awe you are so sweet!
