It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 8-26-22

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type one recipe you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.

If someone wants your recipe and asks there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe, however it may take me a few days to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam. NO SPAM WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.

I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.

My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is LOADED BAKED MASHED POTATO.

  1. My Friday remains consistent. At the moment, in the 2nd rise of what will be the 1lb loaf of mostly white bread I bake for my coming week. Most important task of the day.

  2. Something new for us…
    BARAMUNDI

    2tbsp butter
    2tbsp capers
    1/4 cup dry white wine
    salt
    3 cherry tomatoes, sliced (optional)
    1/2 squeezed lemon
    6 thin sliced lemon wedges
    1 pound baramundi
Melt the butter and combine it with all the other ingredients. Line a shallow roasting pan with foil. Pat the fish dry and place in the lightly greased pan. Pour the liquid over it. Place the lemon wedges on top of the fish and let it sit for 5 minutes. Bake at 375 for about 18-20 minutes and spoon the liquid over the fish.
You can serve this with a nice green salad and a good Pinot Grigio.
This was new to me but it was easy and a great find!!

    • I had to look up what Baramundi was, I have never heard of it before. I would think this would be good on any bass, we have those where I live. Sounds like a delicious recipe JC. 💕

  3. Anything with the words “loaded” and “potato” and I’m right there! We went to dinner recently to our favorite diner and I made a meal of just appetizers, one of which was loaded potato skins. It was a great meal!!
Last night it was too hot to cook so we went raw (almost). We had jumbo shrimp which I cooked the day before and chilled, sliced tomato and avocado and fabulous microwave corn on the cob. If you’ve never cooked your corn on the cob in the microwave, it’s so easy! Our corn was already shucked so I just wrapped two ears (separately) in a wet paper towel, wrapped it tightly and nuked both ears together for 4 minutes. Just a dab of butter after cooking made it perfect. There’s an easy recipe for nuking corn on the cob that still in its husk. That will be for another post. Happy weekend!
