Jalapeño Poppers With Grilled Cheese Sandwich

This is one of my favorite garden sandwiches made with grilled buttered bread, tomatoes, Jalapeño Poppers, cheese and mayonnaise or Miracle Whip.
I made my first batch of Jalapeño Poppers this year and saved some so that I could add them to my Grilled Cheese Sandwich. This sandwich is made with our homegrown jalapeños and tomatoes. If you love both Jalapeño Poppers and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich then you will love them together!

what a wonderful combo, the spicy kick included (and i’m team mayo)
Thanks Beth! I had a toasted cheese today and no jalapeño poppers! It just wasn’t the same. Lol
I’ll bet!
I never thought of adding them! This is yummy! Thank you!
You’re very welcome! Thank you K.L.
You’re welcome, Diane! Have a blessed day! Karla
I have not heard of Miracle Whip but the rest sounds (and looks) a delicious combination!! 🙂
Miracle Whip is made with the same ingredients as mayo but has other ingredients added to it too. Thank you!
Ah, ok, thank you! 🙂
Reblogged this on NEW OPENED BLOG > https:/BOOKS.ESLARN-NET.DE.
Thanks so much!
Fantastic, Diane! I think i have to restructure our yard, and relocate all the snails. 😉 Thank you, and have a nice day! xx Michael
Snails! lol Have a great weekend Michael!
With some tomato soup, you have dinner on meatless Monday.
I grew up on tomato soup and toasted cheese sandwiches as a kid. It is the perfect meatless meal for sure Bernadette!
This is an interesting spin on a classic sandwich…..I may try making this myself!
I thought it was a wonderful combination. I hope you get a chance to try it. Thank you and have a great weekend.
What a mash up! Great idea.
Thanks!
Could be lunch today!
Awesome let me know what you think!
Yum! 😋 I love grilled cheese and I love jalapeños. This looks great.
Thank you it tastes amazing together.
Yummy! I want to try this.
It has become my annual sandwich once the jalapeño peppers and tomatoes ripen in the garden. Thank you and enjoy your weekend Chantel!
This looks yummy! I love grilled cheese and this is a super duper grilled cheese!
Thanks so much! ❤️
Looks yummmmyy 🤤
Thanks!
The sandwich is not too hot? Jalapeno are very spicy, I only throw the tops without seeds, of course in moderate amounts. I’m probably not used to hot spices.
Best regards
I love the taste of the jalapeño pepper and like you, I discard the seeds so by the time you add the poppers to the sandwich there is very little heat.
Well that looks yummy … and spicy! Get a tall glass of water before beginning this delicious looking sandwich.
I remove the seeds which is the hottest part of the pepper. By the time you add all that cheese and bread they aren’t hot at all. Thanks Linda!
Then pop ’em in your mouth, thus “Popper’s!”
I like a grilled cheese sandwich with pickles and this is definitely a sandwich that takes that up a notch.
I just discovered fried pickles and eat them whenever I go out and can find them. I never thought about putting them on a grilled cheese sandwich!!! Looks like I have to try it! Do you use dill pickles?
Yes, dill is what I use. I’m glad you like the suggestion.
I have some homemade canned dill pickles so I will give it a try.
You’re right about two things … I’ve never tried a sandwich like this and yes, shop tomatoes does not nearly looks that delicious like those in your photo’s! Yumminess comes to mind when looking at the finished product 😋.
You are so kind! Thank you!
Ooh, this looks so good! I am growing jalapeno peppers and they are about ready to be picked. I didn’t know what to do with them. Now I do! Thanks for the idea!
Make jalapeño poppers and you can even pickle the peppers. I have eaten so many poppers I have had enough for this year. Lol
Thanks so much! ❤️
Thank you and have a fantastic week!
In love💜
Great use of garden jalapeños!❤️
Yummmyyyyy
i need that in my life right about now.. oh.. and my stomach!
It is a delicious way to use leftover poppers, if you have any. The only reason I did is that I am the only one that eats them. It was. truly a delicious combination. Thank you!
