Easy Blueberry Crisp
I made this Blueberry Crisp with my homegrown blueberries. The bottom is a delicious blueberry mixture then it is topped with a crumb topping and baked in the oven. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, optional, or serve at room temperature.

That looks delicious Diane – we used to have “crisp” for blueberries occasionally, mostly peach, but it was always so tasty.

I agree that homegrown is so much better. I think because it is just picked, no preservatives or sprays and at the peak of flavor. Have a great day!

Diane, I want to compliment you on the layout of your recipes. It’s easy to learn the cooking lessons and then follow the recipe that comes after the lesson. Do you plan to write a cookbook?

I have had my blueberry bushes for over 25 years. I am grateful every year they produce now. I doubt they have very many years left.

My girls now tell theirs of magical summer nights sneaking out to the blueberry bushes to gorge. Of course, what mother would complain, given the nutrition?

Blueberries never survive long enough in this house to bake with them. But if I can sneak some in I’ll give it a try. Can you substitute granola for the oats?
