Air Fryer Garlic Baked Potatoes
Crisp skin seasoned with olive oil, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper then baked in the Air Fryer. Topped off with butter, sour cream, bacon and green onions made this the best baked potato I have ever made.
Ingredients
Scrub the potatoes and pat dry.
Using a fork, poke holes all over each potato.
Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes.
Using your hands rub the
oil all over the potatoes.
Sprinkle the garlic powder, salt, pepper
and parsley on top of the potatoes.
Using your hands rub the
seasonings all over each potato.
Go Wise USA is our air fryer.
Remove the fryer compartment
from the air fryer and place the
prepared potatoes inside.
Close the compartment.
Cook at 390 degrees for 35 – 40 minutes
or until the potatoes are cooked through.
Slice the top of the potato and
add your favorite toppings then serve.

I have heard of air fryers, but have no experience with them? Have you posted about them before Diane? If you, could you provide a link? As my mom is on a low-fat diet now, would this be a solution for her if she is craving french fries?

https://indianeskitchen.com/2017/05/26/air-fryer-home-made-french-fries Keep in mine ours is a large air fryer. I’m sure they make smaller and cheaper ones. 1 tsp oil per potato is all the fat and they tasted great! I hope this helps Joni.

That sounds great. Have you cooked anything else in it other than fries? I like the face that’s it’s easy. I may check them out in the Boxing Day sales.

These look fabulous! I am one of those who revels in eating the skins of potatoes, as well as of butternut squash, sweet potatoes, yams and a variety of other plant foods.

Mmmm – loooks good – we have made French fried potatoes this month in our Cosori air fryer – (just gifted a ninja air fryer to my son and his fiancé) and they are Crunchy and delicious – and your baked potatoes look amazing
– is there a reason you chose the Gowise USA brand? Just curious

It was a gift for my husband. I personally wasn’t interested in an air fryer so he asked for one for Christmas…lol That was the one he asked for.

I’ve been debating getting an air fryer for over a year…don’t want to add another appliance that I hardly use to my collection. Do you use it much, Diane?
LikeLiked by 2 people
Honestly no. My husband wanted it for Christmas last year so I have left it alone until now because it is his gadget. However, besides the baked potato we have only made French fries and wings in it. But I have to say all three were fabulous! I need to try other things in it too. It is big and I can do the same thing in the oven (I rarely fry in oil) but it does taste better from the air fryer and only uses 1 Tbsp. oil.

Thanks…I’ll probably end up getting one. Wish I could make up my mind, 🙄

Wish I could have been more help. I guess the good thing is I really have nothing bad to say about it. I just need to use it more.

I always forget about loaded baked potatoes. Wasn’t it Wendy’s that used to have them on the menu?
Anyway, this looks wonderful!

Yes Wendy’s has them and you order what you want on them. These were so much better than Wendy’s. Thank you Robin!

You’re welcome! The grandkids won’t eat the skin on potatoes so I scooped out the inside, slathered sour cream on the skin and ate it too! I’m so bad! hahahaha

Yum!!! Everything is better with bacon and/or garlic. (Except maybe dessert.)

One cannot eat a baked potato “unadorned” – it is not right!

This sounds like a great way to cook potatoes. I’ve never heard of an air fryer before.

They basically fry food with hardly any oil. Ours uses 1 tsp oil per potato. It is a gadget that sits on the counter to use it.
