Copycat Disneyland Clam Chowder
I have never tasted the Clam Chowder at Disneyland but if it is like this copycat recipe it is very good! Full of clams, potatoes, onion, celery, red pepper and green pepper plus other ingredients makes this a very delicious Clam Chowder. I don’t care for red and green peppers so I leave them out.

Never been to Disneyland myself. Not been to USA ever but all over the world except. Clams we can get here so will give this a try .My own love is Muscles in onions and white wine and butter boiled until shells open then use shells up scoop up the lovely juices and shell fish too. Garlic grated over it is true French dish
I’ll have to try this on my husband. He loves clam chowder…me not so much so. But your recipe looks super easy.
Yes it is pretty easy and it doesn’t make a huge pot of it so he should be able to finish it himself.
Would you believe I’ve never had clam chowder?!
No way!!!! If you like clams you have to try it!
I do love, love, love some clam chowder, but my wife isn’t so crazy about, so… This looks awesome!
This doesn’t make a lot so perfect for you for a couple of days….lol Thank you!
I love to Tabasco!
Hot-hot-hot! Lol
Thanks for sharing, is this your favorite soup recipe?
I have SO many favorite soup recipes. This is my favorite Clam Chowder recipe.
I’ve never had clam chowder before too! I might give this a go!
I am shocked at how many people haven’t tried Clam Chowder. Yes, give it a try it is very good.
I should really eat it from someone who knows how to make it for the first time. If I make it poorly, my view on clam chowder will be seriously biased!
Make sure you try the kind you think you would like best. One is a red clam chowder called Rhode Island/Manhattan which I don’t like. The other is the white New England clam chowder which I love. Try them in a restaurant. If you ever go to a Red Lobster restaurant they have a great white clam chowder.
Duly noted, I shall try both!
It looks delicious and that is something my mom never made – she was not a fish eater, though she made fish-type dinners with salmon or tuna, but clam soup, a favorite of mine, was/is Campbell’s Chunky Soup.
That is the only canned Clam Chowder I like!
And it must have some Pepperidge Farm whole-grain Goldfish in it as well. 🙂
OMG I have to tell you about my granddaughter! She only likes the extra cheddar Gold Fish crackers. My husband does the grocery shopping (he loves it I hate it). However, I do the Sam’s Club shopping because he buys too much. Anyhow, I saw a gigantic 3 bags in a box Gold Fish and was so excited because we were buying them every week for her. I knew these would last! Well the ones I bought weren’t the extra cheese! So I have all these gold fish she has to eat and doesn’t really like….bad Grandma!
That’s funny – didn’t know about the extra cheese and I’m guessing they would just have the bigger quantities of the regular cheese Goldfish? I’ve never been to Sam’s Club since it’s just me. I just love Goldfish and the whole grain are cheesy … I tried the pizza ones too, bet she would like them – they are good and give the clam soup a little pizzazz!
I bet!
Looks delicious!
Thank you Bernice!
Never had it before 🙈
If you ever get a chance, give it a try. It’s kind of like potato soup with clams added. Very good if you love clams.
Yummy… I’m gonna take some of your recipes if you don’t mind 🙂 And thank you for visiting my blog. Hugs – Ewa
You’re welcome I enjoyed your blog! You go right ahead and cook away with any of my recipes. Have a great day!
Ooo, you’re so nice! If you like, you could visit my “domestic” blog https://mycastle.video.blog/
Now I’m going to your place to find
something for sandwiches 🙂 Many hugs!
Mmmmm –
I have had many many versions of New England clam chowder but not sure if I ever had Disney’s version – ha- but I recall having some in the airport once and it was excellent / least fav – all soups (and food) at ikea –
IKEA does not keep their soup hot enough!
Anyhow – your bowl of ready to eat chowder Looks great
PSdid u know the hubs and I had clam chowder on our first date. And chicken Caesar salad in downtown Denver –
Awwww what a sweet memory!!! Isn’t it funny how we remember things like that? So special! I didn’t know IKEA served food! I have only been there once about 8 years ago.
Yeah – they have an eating area – up near the children’s stuff and kitchen demos (at the one in northern va – and in their defense – we often went at night – so the soup is winding down – but even daytime hours it is never warm enough – and maybe because some of them are cream based they can’t be super hot – but think I got sick on it twice and will never eat their again – I used to get their salmon and soup – anyhow – they also sell food items like coffee and their famous meatballs
Don’t think I will be either…lol
Yes – just keep doing what you do in your Indian Kitchen – kissing (remember when I said “in-dianes-kitchen” looked like Indian –
But keep doing what you do and is retirement happening soon?
My husband can’t retire until I can get Medicare, about 4 years yet. He provides our health insurance through his job. He actually is retired but only works because we need health insurance….ugh!
got it – but at least you are so close and have things really set up – that is such a gift. Seth Godin was just talking in ana interview about how retirement will not necessarily be so secure for future generations – and not because of SS issues – but because jobs are changing and the whole system is different –
anyhow, the four years will go fast
I have, admittedly, never had clam chowder.Have always wanted to and now I am so going to!
Awesome! It is similar to potato soup but with clams. Have you ever had clams?
As we don’t really have it here in UK I never had clam chowder until I was in the Maritime Provinces of Canada travelling with my friend a few years ago and I loved it. Since then I have always been promising to make some but never got round to it. The problem here is that clams are prohibitively expensive but I’ll treat myself one of these days. I must admit that I did not know Disneyland was famous for chowder.
I didn’t know they were either! I haven’t been there in almost 25 years. This recipe came from a copycat book of recipes.
I’ve tried a lot of food at Disneyland but never the clam chowder. Disney has great chili, too.
I haven’t been there for over 20 years! Love to try the chili too.
20 years?! Well, that said, the chili is supposedly Walt’s own recipe, so it’s worth trying if you ever return.
