Banana Bread With Chocolate Chips

This is a nice addition to traditional banana bread by adding chocolate chips. It turned out pretty tasty. Of course, you don’t have to put chocolate chips in this recipe if you don’t want to, it won’t change a thing leaving them out. If you want, you can even add nuts!
Banana Bread (With or Without Chocolate Chips)

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1-3/4 cup flour
- 1-1/4 cup mashed bananas
- 3/4 cup mini milk chocolate chips, optional
- 3/4 cup crushed walnuts, optional
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray a bread pan with cooking spray, set aside.
- In a large bowl cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and mix well.
- Add cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla, mixing thoroughly.
- Add a little flour and mix. Add a little banana and mix. Repeat until gone, ending with the flour.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and/or nuts, optional. Pour batter into prepared bread pan,
- Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool for 5 minutes then remove the bread from the bread pan to a cooling rack. Slice when cool.

Love banana bread with chocolate chips! I also like it with blueberries instead of chocolate chips.
Now that’s one I need to try, I even grow my own blueberries and never thought about it. Lol
We grow blueberries too. It makes the bread super moist. 🙂
