Bacon Wrapped Teriyaki Shrimp Appetizer

Are you looking for an easy appetizer for St Patrick’s Day or any time for that matter? This recipe is from the 1950’s and has only three ingredients and is SO good, it’s bacon & shrimp after all.

In a plastic bag, add the shrimp and teriyaki marinade. Turn to coat all the shrimp then refrigerate for 20 minutes. Drain saving the marinade in a bowl.

Wrap the large shrimp with a half slice of bacon, trying not to overlap the bacon much. My shrimp was smaller so I cut my bacon into three pieces. Place on a large, shallow baking sheet.

Brush some of the leftover marinade on top of the bacon.

Bake in a preheated 425º oven for 15 minutes or until the bacon is brown and the shrimp is pink and opaque. Add toothpicks to serve.

TIP: Do not use thick cut bacon or it will not cook completely when the shrimp is cooked through.
