Arizona Mountains
Most of you may be bored with these mountain pictures, however, this was my first time seeing them. Every mile felt like another great picture and another day of beautiful blue skies.

That’s beautiful – California has a similar place called Red Rock –
I have been to California years ago but we saw the San Francisco bridge and had to leave. The hotel workers there were on strike and said we could still have a room but we would have to clean it and change the bedding. 🤣 That wasn’t happening. We drove along the coast and saw the Hearst Castle, so cool! Maybe someday we can check out Red Rock.

Mountains never get boring, Diane. What beautiful sites – and colours and textures – you and the hubby encountered in your travels. Nature is amazing. And glad you had great weather to accompany them too! Look forward to your Sedona post next week!

Where were these photos taken? I grew up AZ. I lived in Prescott and Flagstaff , the Navajo reservation, and stayed in Sedona. I grew up in Casa Grande, and have lived in Tucson, Tempe and Phoenix, too.
These photos look like Oak Creek Canyon.
Mostly in the Sedona area. We covered a lot of territory in AZ. We went to Tucson, Flagstaff and Phoenix too.
The Arizona landscapes are full of Nature’s masterpieces – my happy place!

I love your mountains too Nancy. You are so lucky to have those amazing views. Because of your beautiful flower posts in the past years, I told my husband I wanted to go to see the desert flowers. There wasn’t a whole lot in the desert area so we headed to the Botanical Gardens. I could have stayed there all day taking pictures. What a fun trip!
Wildflower season is more in the spring and it all depends on how much rain we got in the winter. The Botanical Gardens are gorgeous! Glad you went there. Thank you for enjoying my pictures! 🙂
We took our trip the last half of March and there wasn’t many. After seeing the Botanical Gardens I was VERY happy.

Spent some time in those mountains searching for gold.
Now you tell me! 🤣
We found lots of it!
When we went to Alaska they dug up a bunch of dirt and put it in a metal trough. We were given the dish and got gold from it. The gold was tiny pieces but it was fun and I still have my tiny few pieces in a little glass vial. That was 10 years ago.
Yes we did a bunch of digging for Tom with the GPAA then we went off on our own for the real stuff 🙂

We camped 6 weeks out on BLM land and paid just $10 for a 6 week stay. I had to travel to Surprise to shop for ice and food every 3 or 4 days but did just one trip north of Congress and saw the boulders that would just fall and said nope not me 🙂
Geeze that was cheap! Those rocks are scary, I wouldn’t want to have one hit any vehicle.
I know I would head north to shop and on my way back down there had been a rock slide and you could see where a machine had pushed it away just in the time I was gone.
You sure were lucky!
Seemed to happen too often very scary out there.
We missed the tornados, rocks, rain and dust storms. We had blue skies every day until the night driving home. We were at the tail end of a bad storm. Semi’s and cars all off the road. It was about 5 minutes of rain.
We had that nasty Christmas storm on the mesa otherwise it was gorgeous and no apparent reason for the rock falls lol we were out there from Thanksgiving until 5 days before the Superbowl when it was nasty in NH, just as an ice storm hit we had pulled out and we came back home to winter. We went back a 2nd time it was gorgeous but with a dog it is sketchy with all the snakes our friends dog was bit twice. I would love to live in NV but after this years heat I know my limits 🙂
That would be scary with the snakes, there’s no way to keep them out of a backyard. I don’t like the heat either Eunice. My A/C goes from being on to the furnace once it gets cold.
I know lately NH is like that it is crazy with all the land being raped to place a drug store or Walmart in each town.

I live in the mountains so I see them all the time however I still love seeing them and I’ve never been to Arizona so I’ve never seen the Arizona mountains. They are pretty.

We lived in Arizona when my husband was stationed at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista. What an amazing state! We never ran out of beautiful places to visit and experience. Some of these pictures look like the Chiricahua Mountains. Beautiful photos, Diane.
We could have spent the entire trip in Arizona. There is so much to do like you said Patty. It was too long a drive for just one state so we picked all the things we thought would be interesting and mapped out a route. I was able to see desert wild flowers and that was why we went in March, well that and I can’t stand heat. Lol My Wednesday post is with the flowers.
I grew up in Arizona and never appreciated this scenery that was part of my every day life. Now I do. Absolutely stunning.

This was my first time seeing the mountains. I never dreamed of how beautiful the mountains and their color were. If we hadn’t gone in March, we wouldn’t have been able to go. My MIL’s dementia is twice as bad since March. 🥲
Dementia is a terrible disease (sometimes more for the family than for the patient). Berto’s father had dementia which progressed into Alzheimer’s – it was a difficult path full of emotions. Hugs from me to you 💕.
