No Bake Chocolate Ganache Pie

Don’t be afraid of the word Ganache. It is an easy no bake pie with only four ingredients. A good quality chocolate makes this taste even better.

Place the pie crust in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Take it out when you get ready to pour the ganache into it. You can make a homemade crust, but I like the convenience of store bought.

In a large bowl, pour in the chocolate chips.

Pour the heavy cream into a saucepan over medium heat. Stirring constantly, heat just until it begins to steam but do not boil.

Remove the hot cream from the burner and pour it over the chocolate chips; let stand for 3 minutes.

Gently whisk until all the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Add the butter, cut into small pieces, and stir gently with a rubber spatula until all the butter is incorporated in.

Pour the ganache into the cold crust. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.

Slice and serve with sweetened whipped cream. Refrigerate leftovers.

Thank you Ned!
Jackie is with you on the pie crust
I can make a lot of things, but this kind of crust NEVER stays together when I make it. I make a great pie dough crust though, that must count for something right? I like Jackie, she’s a great cook, you’re a lucky man Derrick!
This looks sooooooo good!
Thank you Nancy!
This looks delicious, and a nice easy recipe to follow as well.
It really is thank you Paul!
I’m starting to live on your recipes. Yesterday having the orange chicken thighs, today the no-bake peanut butter pie. Now, this one even looks easy enough for me!!
You are good for my ego GP. Lol You can do this one too, the secret is don’t let the milk boil. Once it steams remove it from the burner immediately.
Thanks for the tip.
And just so you know – everything has been getting me tons of compliments – but I do tell them it is Your recipe. I just finished sending the pie to my sister-in-law!
Awe thank you GP!
yummm
Thanks!
Admitted, we did think Ganache was difficult to make. Will try your recipe, thanks!
It was so simple and when it was refrigerated, it was like eating fudge.
Oh this looks absolutely decadent!
It turned out so delicious Dorothy. It will be a great make ahead dessert for company.
I have heard the word ganache and wondered about it before … I saw “no bake” and started to read it, but on-the-stove part may be problematic for me. I wouldn’t use the oven, but I’m sure the stovetop is fine after all these years. It looks delicious and RICH.
It was so delicious and rich! This is one of those company desserts you can make ahead of time. I usually cut my 9” pies into 6-8 pieces, this recipe calls for 10 because it’s so rich.
It sounds like a good dessert for a special occasion.
Sweet dreams are made of this – every bite must be chocolate bliss!
Oh yes it is! Of course my piece has much more whipped cream than the picture. Lol
Oh my goodness, this looks decadent. I have all the ingredients to make this right now, but will wait until the kids come over, so I won’t eat it all.
They will love it, make sure you buy a can of whipped cream or make your own. The whipped cream was like the icing on the cake.
Of course, chocolate pie without whipped cream is just wrong. 😁
We are so much alike!
😍😍🤩🤩👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!
Looks so good! Very chocolatey. I used to make a no baked pie and you put eggs in it and I forget the name of it. I think it was a French silk pie maybe? It was really good but the raw eggs turned some people off.
French Silk Pie is my husband’s favorite but I have never made it. We always buy a piece at restaurants that have it.
I used to make it a lot but haven’t made it for years
I love that it looks so easy to make and with so little ingredients! Looks delicious and so satisfying!
I couldn’t believe how easy it was too for how delicious it turned out.
This sounds and looks like a chocolate lover’s delight. (That would be me!)
Me too!
Yuuuummmmmmm
Thank you!
Oh Diane, my taste buds have issued an emergency! That looks yummy-licious!!!
It is just that good Corna. In the refrigerator it sets up like fudge.
This sounds amazing! I’ll definitely give this one a try.
I like how long I can keep this in the refrigerator. I take out a piece, let it sit on the counter then cover it in whipped cream (I love whipped cream). Enjoy Linda!
That dish looks absolutely irresistible, Diane—my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Thank you so much!
