Easy Basic Antipasto Salad Recipe

This is a great dish for a holiday meal or any family gathering! This Basic Antipasto Salad is better when it sits so make it up the night before you plan on serving it and it will taste even better! You can add whatever you want to an Antipasto Salad so don’t be afraid to change some of these ingredients and add pasta or tortellini along with Italian salad dressing.

  1. That looks tasty – we used to have antipasto salad in the Summer so my mom didn’t need to cook; I never thought of making it around the holidays for the same reason!

  2. Does Terry still expect the blog to be renamed after him? 😆 I’m not a big olives person but all the other ingredients look good to me! I’ll share my olives with the hubby who loves them!

    • Haha heck no, he wants nothing to do with it. He’s freaking out because if I die before him, he’s worried about how to cancel it. I said when you don’t pay for the fee it’s finished so cancel the credit card. Lol I am making this for Thanksgiving and I am putting SO much in it, including tortellini! I like black olives but not green so I give those to my hubby too!

      • I love that of all the things to freak out about, it’s the blog. 😂 Hopefully you’ll be around for a long long time, Diane!

      • Haha right! He is also freaking out about the banking. I do on line banking so he thought he would have to too. I said just write a check like you did before we were married. I handle all the finances and he only uses a computer to play games. 🤣

  3. This is my favorite thing to order when I go to my husband’s family favorite restaurant. They are all “very” Italian and sometimes I can’t hang with them and the all the delicious pasta and breads, but the Antipasto I can do!

    • It makes for the best meal. We had to go out of town today because we couldn’t find pearl onions at the stores in our town and I need them for my Thanksgiving antipasto! For some reason small town grocery stores always have what I can’t find. I would gladly take your place next time at your next husband’s family favorite restaurant! 🤣

  4. Before I even read your post and just looked at the photo, I thought it was the ideal holiday salad! Thanks Diane, I’m taking this recipe with me to our camp site in December.

    • You’re welcome, it really is perfect for the holidays Corna. I usually skewer everything for an appetizer but this Thanksgiving it’s going into a big bowl. It’s great for camping because you can buy canned items (like olives) or vacuum sealed items to last until you make it, especially when you’re there for 3 weeks!
