It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 08-16-24

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared, in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is GRILLED CHEESE JALAPEÑO POPPERS SANDWICH. Yes I did, I put jalapeño poppers in my Grilled Cheese Sandwich and is it delicious! I wait all year for our homegrown jalapeños and tomatoes for this sandwich! I make a large tray of JALAPEÑO POPPERS then add them to my Grilled Cheese Sandwich, so yummy!

😊
Thank you!
Jalapeno peppers could even make me enjoy American grilled cheese 🙂
These were jalapeño “Poppers” Derrick. I fill them with cream cheese, crumbled bacon and seasonings. I loved the two kinds of cheese, American and cream cheese along with the jalapeño. I had fun with the poppers I made yesterday. I left a random seed in some as a surprise. I told my granddaughter and husband they may or may not get a seed. My husband did the very first one he grabbed. 🤣
🙂
You always got something good, respect and appreciate you. Hands trying to reach through the screen, lol 😆
Thank you so much for your kind words! 🥰
You are very talented and appreciate you
You are so kind, thank you!
You are a appreciated
yummm
Thank you Beth!
I’ve been cooking all week, so it’s sushi tonight! 🍱
That’s one thing I have never made. We aren’t a fan of raw fish etc but the cooked food is good. You definitely have been busy cooking this week!
Oooh, that looks so good!
Thank you!
Looks very good!
Thank you Stephen!
I would call that a grilled cheese with pizazz!
I eat so many BLT’s, grilled cheese sandwiches and jalapeño poppers while the garden produces I thought why not. Lol
Might as well enjoy your harvest Diane, especially before the birds and squirrels misappropriate it for their own use and benefit!
That’s for sure Linda!
At least you don’t have to worry about an early frost killing everything!
Yesterday we bought the first cèpes of the season. A bit early, but we did enjoy our Cèpes à la Bordelaise, see https://cookanddrink.org/2020/11/04/cepes-a-la-bordelaise/.
What a delicious salad and perfect for lunch. Thank you for sharing the link.
Pleasure!
This sandwich sounds amazing particularly with home grown ingredients.
Oh yes the homegrown tomatoes and jalapeño peppers is what makes this so good for me. I can’t stand hot house or store bought tomatoes except from the garden so I have a short time frame to eat this, BLT’s and grilled cheese (with tomato).
Tasty tasty😋
Thank you, it’s one of our favorites.
My favourite too.
Yay, I can add a rare comment to your Friday posts. 🙂
I recently made a butternut squash boat with sausage for my in laws. Topped it with dried cranberries and crushed walnut. It went over very well! 😊🙏
Yum!!! I wish you had a food blog too, everything you make sounds delicious!
I struggle just to keep my child occupied on some days. 😆 Once I figure that out, I’ll start thinking about a food blog. 🤣
I’ll be waiting!
I will definitely be making this!
Enjoy!
