It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 08-16-24

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared, in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.

If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.

I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.

My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is GRILLED CHEESE JALAPEÑO POPPERS SANDWICH. Yes I did, I put jalapeño poppers in my Grilled Cheese Sandwich and is it delicious! I wait all year for our homegrown jalapeños and tomatoes for this sandwich! I make a large tray of JALAPEÑO POPPERS then add them to my Grilled Cheese Sandwich, so yummy!

    • These were jalapeño “Poppers” Derrick. I fill them with cream cheese, crumbled bacon and seasonings. I loved the two kinds of cheese, American and cream cheese along with the jalapeño. I had fun with the poppers I made yesterday. I left a random seed in some as a surprise. I told my granddaughter and husband they may or may not get a seed. My husband did the very first one he grabbed. 🤣

    • Oh yes the homegrown tomatoes and jalapeño peppers is what makes this so good for me. I can’t stand hot house or store bought tomatoes except from the garden so I have a short time frame to eat this, BLT’s and grilled cheese (with tomato).

  1. Yay, I can add a rare comment to your Friday posts. 🙂

I recently made a butternut squash boat with sausage for my in laws. Topped it with dried cranberries and crushed walnut. It went over very well! 😊🙏
