Happy 33rd Anniversary Terry

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our family yesterday and today we will have a nice quiet anniversary day home alone. Since our anniversary is on Thanksgiving this year, we can’t really enjoy dinner out so we are going to try and order pizza! We rarely buy pizza and what a treat if we can get it.

The picture above is from our 25th anniversary in Alaska, if only we still looked that young!

    • 😂 I know exactly what you mean. I thought about learning how to use these new apps that completely change your looks to how you want to look. But then I thought how I earned these age spots and wrinkles. Heck, I rarely wear makeup anymore.

  2. Happy Anniversary and Happy Thanksgiving! Your blog is a blessing in my life! It has ignited a desire in me to cook and bake with your easy yet delicious recipes. Enjoy your day – however you wish to spend it!

  3. Happy 33rd anniversary, Diane and Terry. Enjoy your alone time together and the treat of pizza. Wishing you many more happy years ahead!

  4. Happy Anniversary, Diane and Terry. I hope you had a nice day and that you were able to get some pizza. Many blessings!

  5. Congratulations Diane and Terry for 33 years of wedded bliss. I’m sorry you couldn’t make your 30-year anniversary trip to Hawaii due to Covid. I remember you wrote about that in your blog. Wishing you many more anniversary celebrations down the road (with lots of pizza take-out dinners).

      • I hope you get to go on that trip Diane. A woman portrait photographer I follow on Facebook always want to go along Route 66. She and her brother took a trip last year – she took a lot of photos and it really looked like fun to see a lot of the old and nostalgic sites still open on Route 66. They have tour groups that take you along there and go to national parks – it looks like a wonderful trip. I would love to do a trip like that. I went on Route 66 as a child – we drove from Canada to Oklahoma (in a VW Bug in the Summer).

      • That’s what we want to do too but not a tour in case I have a flare up and we need to stay put. How cool that you had a VW (slug Bug). Lol We yelled slug bug and the first one to yell it slugged the other person in the arm. 🤣

      • Ha ha with slug bug … see what I missed not having siblings? Yes, a tour might be too rigorous for you in case of a flare up. I have seen the itinerary which looks fun though. And they had maps and routes for those places that were available for all the highlights (and national parks too). A fellow blogger wanted to go to Yellowstone National Park this Fall. She and her husband have an RV and tow their Jeep and live in Northern Michigan all summer, but travel to warm places for Winter now that they are retired. So she told me they had to reserve at Yellowstone (to visit, not to park the RV) a year ahead. I was amazed at that.

      • I can’t imagine – very frustrating. Like booking a cruise and the passengers get a norovirus and the boat turns around or people are quarantined. I’ve not been on a cruise in years (1982) but I’d never heard of norovirus back then.

      • Wow, that’s unheard of for a whole cruise!
I lived on a boat for 21 years and I did get seasick when the seas were rough so had to wind in the sails and turn on the motor. All those yucky diesel fumes had me down below lying on the sole with a bucket at hand.

      • It was and we built our first boat from the plans when we were in our early twenties – what a ride of blood, sweat, and tears!
A few years ago, I did a brain dump of some of those sailing years and added old photos so search on “sailing” on my site and you’ll see a few. 😉
So much better when the sailis are up and the motor is off.

  6. Happy Belated Anniversary, Diane and Terry. It is tough when a special day is on a holiday. I hope you still enjoyed your day and did something special on another day. 🍾🥂💞
