My favourite! I’ve made lemon poppy seed muffins a few times before, but can’t wait to bake this bread! The only ingredient I need, is the buttermilk … can’t wait to try this recipe! Thanks Diane 😀.
I hope you love it as much as I do Corna! You’re welcome!
Save me a slice Diane
How about a whole loaf! Thank you Sheree!

Thank you Rachel, if you love lemon you will love this recipe.
Seems really delicious and light, with lemon – amitiés 🙂
Thank you, I hope you are doing well! Have a great weekend.
One of my mother-in-law’s favorite breads! Yummy!
That’s so funny, it is my MIL’s favorite too. It is so strange but it seems like the older we get the more we love tart things like lemon and vinegar, at least in my case. Lol
Looks very moist Diane – yes I will have a slice please.
Thank you Linda! I have been scrolling your site today. I remember commenting on a duck you posted that I have never seen before. We saw a duck yesterday I had never seen and I swear it was the same kind. It had a beautiful solid brown head and the body is brown and tan. I may do a post on it because it is making me crazy trying to find out what kind it is. Somebody may know what it is. We even looked on line and through the bird book with no help!
Hi Diane – I will bet it is the domestic Khaki Campbell ducks … I will find the post and send it to you – did I have a picture though … I must have as I sent it to Matt at the Michigan Duck Rescue and Sanctuary and he identified the pair for me, offered to pick them up (he feared they were dumped and it was Winter) and I never saw them again. Will look for the post now.
That is so sad if somebody just dumped them! I am so glad you found the post for me. Thank you my friend! 🥰
You are so welcome Diane – people are not kind to animals sometimes and that breaks my heart. I had a lot of angst that Winter as I promised Matt I would call when I saw them and he or another volunteer would pick them up. I gave Matt’s number to other walkers in case they saw the pair, but never did.
That’s a shame!
I hate reading some of those stories – I don’t understand people harming kids or animals, the most vulnerable.
Hi Diane – I found the post and will send it in a separate comment.
Now I can get my sanity back! Lol
I’ll be looking forward to your post Diane!
Here you are … all the way to the bottom of the post is the pics of the Khaki Campbell domestic ducks. They are larger than regular ducks (came to my knees, almost like a Pekin duck).

Thank you so much!
You’re so welcome!
I could go for a couple of slices of this right now. I think I would spread some apricot preserves on it, and then have the slices with a cup of coffee. Thanks for a fine recipe. Enjoy the day.
Yum lemon and apricot, that sounds delicious!
