Cheesy Stove Top Taco Pasta

Cheese, ground beef and taco flavored sauce cooked on the stove top then mixed with cooked noodles.

Cook the noodles according to

the package directions,

drain then keep warm.

Cook the ground beef until no pink

remains then drain the grease.

In a small bowl whisk together the

water and taco seasoning.

Pour the mixture into the ground

beef and simmer for 5 minutes

over medium heat or until

the water is gone.

Add the soup, Rotel

tomatoes and cheese.

Stir to combine, until the cheese

melts and it is hot and bubbly.

In a large bowl add the hot

ground beef mixture to the

noodles and toss to

combine then serve.

  • 16 oz. noodles
  • 1# ground beef
  • 1 package (1 oz.) taco seasoning
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 cans (10.75 oz. each) cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cans (10 oz. each) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or pepperjack)

  2. I love the sound of this one. I will have to try it with the kids, then try it for a church potluck depending on what they say.

  3. That sure looks good – it is very cold in the house right now and I’d love something hot like this dish. It does not help that I have no stovetop to make it … one day.

  4. My son and grandkids came to dinner tonight, so I made this. I used fusilli for the pasta instead of noodles. It was a hit and there is enough left over for lunch tomorrow. This one will be made again for sure!
