It’s My Birthday…..Again!

Where have the years gone? Why do they seem to go so much faster the older we get? Well the best part of having a birthday is seeing how much our family loves us by making the day (or week) so special. My husband bought me my favorite birthday cake, white cake with buttercream frosting and is taking me out to dinner.

My mother made me rhubarb pie, just like she did when I was growing up.

My Mother-in-Law made me Lemon Sugar Cookies.

I truly am blessed to have such a wonderful and caring family!

  17. Happy birthday, Diana! Yes, the years slip by way too quickly and it only becomes more so as we age. Anyway, the food looks great. My mother always made her rhubarb pie the same way. I make mine with a meringue.

    • Thank you so much! I will eat rhubarb any way it’s used. I even love rhubarb sauce. I have never had it with meringue, as much as I love meringue I’m sure I would love your pie too!

My son wrote me a beautiful card on my last birthday. I keep it on my nightstand, so I can reread it anytime. 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful day and a great year ahead!

  42. Happy Birthday dear lady. Yes close family life I enjoyed too. So 22 today so have a great time with friends and family. Here at 8am the sun is up and gardens call me 87f already could reach 100f by noon
