Sausage, Egg & Cheese Buttermilk Muffins

A quick & easy breakfast muffin that has all the things I love for breakfast in it. They are great on the weekends or to reheat for breakfast on the go.

Add the sausage to a large
skillet over medium heat.

Cook the sausage until no pink remains
and completely cooked. Remove
the skillet from the heat.

Remove the sausage with a slotted
spoon and put it into a large bowl.
Leave 2 Tbsp. of the grease in the
skillet and discard the rest of the grease.

Place the egg in a small
bowl and whisk slightly.

Add the egg and buttermilk to the
skillet then whisk slightly to combine.

Gradually whisk in the Bisquick.

Whisk until somewhat smooth.

Add the cheese and stir.

Pour the cheese mixture into
the sausage bowl and stir well.

Divide the mixture between
12 well-greased muffin cups.

Bake in a preheated 350ΒΊ oven for
18-20 minutes until golden then serve.

I loved that this recipe only makes 12. Even with company my husband ate all the leftovers saving me the calories! Lol Thank you Mitzy β€οΈ
Haha! I love that Diane! So funny!
What, No gravy???
Because we used them to pick them up and eat like a muffin and a grab and go food, but thatβs a great idea.
Fun, easy idea. I am all for using that delicious sausage grease! My father-in-law insisted that eggs be scrambled in butter, never bacon or sausage grease. Butter is good, but bacon and sausage flavoring just enhances the eggs so much more!
Thank you and I agree. I save my bacon grease and use it whenever I can too.
Looks delicious! And a great way to use a muffin baking pan to make them look invitingly yummy!
Thank you Ab they were perfect for my early morning company.
These look delicious. Nice easy recipe as well, will have to give this a try.
Thank you Paul it is very easy and they are just as delicious popped in the microwave for another day.
Thanks for letting me know!
Delicious egg cups. They would be wonderful to have for a grab and go breakfast.
Thank you Bernadette and yes my husband loves them as grab and go.
These sound delicious! And easy, too. Pinned so I can make them soon.
They are very easy. I had company in the morning so I made these for a bite to eat. Thanks Michelle β€οΈ
Love make ahead things..especially for breakfast.
Iβm with you! I like leftovers better than when I make it for a meal. The best part is my husband doesnβt like leftovers so I get them all! π€£
Wonderful post
This looks amazing! I’m excited to try this recipe.
It is delicious right after baking and just as good as a grab and go snack. Thank you and enjoy!
Oh this is speaking to me⦠yum!
Thank you Nancy my husband went crazy over these.

What a great idea! We love our local “boerewors” (South African sausage) and this will be perfect in the muffin … hey, the weekend is not too far away to try this!!
I wish I could try some of that sausage! Thanks!
Yum! Those would be perfect for a brunch!
They sure would Tierney. I had all the grandkids, my son, my husband and myself here last Saturday morning. I used them as a grab and snack for breakfast. Thank you β€οΈ
