Spiced Pickled Grapes

Spiced Pickled Grapes are pickled with cinnamon, allspice and cloves for a wonderful fall flavor and they only take a few minutes to prepare.
Remove the grapes from the stem
and rinse them in cold water.

Using a sharp knife, cut a thin layer
off both ends off each grape.

In a small saucepan combine the vinegar, sugar, cinnamon,
cloves and allspice. Stir and bring to a boil over medium
high heat. Boil for one minute then remove from
the burner and let cool for 10-15 minutes.

Place the grapes in a 4 cup glass or plastic
container. Pour the liquid over the top.

Cover with plastic wrap or a lid and
refrigerate for 4-6 hours then serve.

Yummy!😋
Thanks!
Thank you and I hope you are having a great wekend!
Interesting. Could you make this without any sugar at all? Or is it needed for the chemical reactions that make up the pickling? Grapes are so sweet already.
It is the sweet sour taste that makes them so good along with the spices. I think the vinegar would be too harsh without the sugar. Maybe you could try a sugar free product?
Very interesting. I do have to try this. I wonder what it tastes like.
Hard to believe we’re already thinking about fall flavour a!
If you love the vinegar/sugar taste along with the spices you will love this. I just love a sweet and sour taste. I use this to pickle cherries too.
I can’t wait to try it!
Thank you very much for sharing another great recipe. Take care.🙏🌹
You’re welcome and have a great weekend.
My pleasure.🙏🌹😊
I think I’m going to try this recipe.
Enjoy I really love them.
Never heard of spiced, pickled grapes before Diane. Sounds intriguing.
Haha my new creation Sheree. I use these basic ingredients to pickle cherries and I was craving them so I used grapes instead. I loved them! Thank you!
Inspired!
WHOA!! Sounds good. What would you think of adding just a touch or two of brandy?
You can add anything but I must admit that is a fantastic idea! 🥂
Wow, I’ve never thought about doing THAT with grapes! But is sounds (and looks) amazing – definitely something new and delicious we can try in the kitchen!
Thanks! I do this to cherries and then I can them. I didn’t have any cherries so I tried the grapes and they turned out as delicious as the cherries.
What do you serve this condiment with?
I just drain them and eat them like this. You could place toothpicks in them for guests as an appetizer with a cheese tray.
I’ll bet they would be REALLY good on a cheese tray.
How tasty looking – especially for folks which have tomatoes of all sizes all ripening at the same time.
I actually used to pickle cherries and figured grapes would work too. They tasted better than I thought they would. Thanks so much Linda!
You are clever and always willing to try something new Diane.
Mmmmm, olivvves….
Nope grapes! 😂🤣😂
I’ve never heard of anything like this before! It sounds delicious. Perfect for fall.
I spice cherries and I thought grapes would be delicious too and they were, I will be making them again. Thank you Michelle! 💕
YUM!
You know that you inspired me to write some of the popular delicious recipes of my land in my blog?

You just made my day Esther! I am so proud of your courage to write a blog and to share such delicious looking food of your land is amazing at your age. Keep up the great work and remember to keep your recipes simple because I have found that is what people like the most. 🥰
Have you ever made this with a hard skin/slip skin grape?? I am wondering how this would be for my local grapes.
No I have not but if they can be cut in half I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. These would be good with the skin on or off.
Thank you so much for sharing my recipe! 💕
Yummm!
Very addicting! Thanks!
