Slow Cooker Chicken, Sausage & Potatoes

Three possible meals in one recipe. Made with chicken, potatoes, sausage and onions in a delicious sauce with tomatoes then cooked in the slow cooker, can it get any easier! The picture above is the way I ate this as my meal. We all ate this a different way, read below.

I filled pita bread with it and my grandson ate two.

My husband had his without the bread or sauce.

Place the chicken on the bottom of the
slow cooker trying not to overlap.

Add the sliced potatoes.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Add the sliced sausage in a single layer.

In a bowl combine the garlic, chicken broth,
diced tomatoes and brown sugar.

Place the sliced onions over the
sausage then pour the sauce on top.

Cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the chicken
is 165 degrees and the potatoes are tender.

Looks delicious but I’m not clear if it’s made with sausage or chicken. If sausage, which type? Thanks.

It’s made with both. The recipe is at the bottom of the post and tells all of the ingredients.

Well, this is a versatile meal and I think I’d opt to stuff all this tastiness into a pita bread like your grandson did.
