What do you do when it’s raining outside and you had planned hot dogs on the grill? Well you put them in your air fryer of course. The hot dogs cooked in our Air Fryer turn out golden brown and were better than cooked on the grill according to my granddaughter. Seriously they did taste delicious and were ready in about 5 minutes.

Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees for 5 minutes. Place the hot dogs in your air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes. I used my rack but the basket will be great too. Turn the hot dogs over and continue to cook until golden brown or cooked like you desire, about another 2-3 minutes, then serve.

  2. Where the real hot dogs are from is Sweden. We had one as im not a fan but half each we just had to have one each after tasting real pork sausage in best soft bread best ever tasted.Stockholm for once tried never forgotten. Your look fine dear and hot air friers I have yet to try out soon. Cant eat them in UK as use thin link synthetic meat in hard bread buns and horrible to me they are.fast profit fast food stalls at fairs are worse. Promised my self not ever to eat one ,until shopping in Stockholm markets one summertime. Taste was that good I would want to eat many. Sweden I like as all is clean and fresh. Only a boat ride from us here in Latvia .

    • I cook brats, sausage, hot dogs, chicken, wings, steak and more. There was only one thing I didn’t like cooked in the air fryer and that was shrimp. Because shrimp cooks so fast it was hard not to overcook it.

  3. Oh the great American hot dog. Add mustard, relish and sauerkraut and you have it. Didn’t FDR serve it at the White House to a foreign dignitary?

  4. We always cooked our hot dogs in the deep fryer at the diner … I liked them that way. They have a crunchy texture with a little “snap” to them.

  5. This is great, Diane. My granddaughter has hotdogs here for lunch about once a week while we are doing online school. I will try to cook them this way this week.
