Three Ingredients Slow Cooker Roast
Three ingredients, two minutes to prepare, 8 hours in the slow cooker and you have a delicious, tender, moist roast waiting for you when you get home. Eat it right from the slow cooker or shred it and have shredded beef sandwiches. This roast was so tender that I shredded the entire roast with a fork. Then I mixed it in with the amazing gravy from the slow cooker. It is wonderful over mashed potatoes this way. My husband told me that was the best tasting gravy he has ever had. I don’t know how something this easy can taste this delicious!
Ingredients
Place the roast into the slow cooker.
Spread the creamed soup on top of the roast.
Sprinkle the dry soup mix evenly on top.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.

I don’t generally use mixes, but onion soup is priceless, and this is making my mouth water.

Made it a second time today and did put it over broad egg noodles, sans wine though. Think a bit of white might have cut through the heaviness quite nicely. Paired with a crisp salad and vinegrette. Perfect meal.

I will have to give it a try Diane. I am thinking a shoulder or blade roast would be best.

Taste wise it really doesn’t matter I use what ever is the oldest in the freezer. But I’m telling you this pot roast fell apart it was so tender and I love the bone marrow!!!!

Slow cooker roast has been on my do-to list. I knew about adding the onion soup mix, but I never heard of the mushroom soup. I will give them both a try!
As always, thanks for the easy to follow directions!

This looks delicious Diane – I really have to think about getting a slow cooker – I was only interested to do it for the slow-cooker pizza, but it’s been so long since I had a roast – I am salivating looking at it. 🙂

OMG! I don’t think you mentioned how good it smells while the slow cooker is doing its thing. Hope I can keep the lid in place for the remaining 5 hours and 42 minutes! Smells scrumptious!

So tried, and fantastic. Someone in the grocery check-out, as I was buying the ingredients suggested this could also be the basis for Beef Stroganoff… with a little wine and some noodles. I’d do it. Had a helping on rice tonight. Can’t see why egg noodles wouldn’t be great too. 😊

Three ingredients and two minutes prep is definitely my kind of cooking.
When I cook in the RV I regularly use condensed soups as a “cheat” sauce to save messing about and they alwys work well.

If you make this in the RV you will have everyone at your doorstep! It smells SO good while it is cooking.
