Amish Broccoli, Chicken & Bacon Salad
The Amish may call this a salad, but trust me it’s a meal! Full of chicken, broccoli, bacon, cheese and apple then mixed with a delicious dressing. This can be a side dish or even a great potluck dish but I made it a meal.

This is one of my favorites, but I have never had chicken in it before. I am going to try this version 😍
It reminded me of chicken salad. I used rotisserie chicken from Sam’s Club and it was so good!
Have you added boiled broccoli or just raw?
Raw broccoli. The salad dressing breaks it down and by the second day it still has a nice little bit of a crunch. I had so much left that I actually added more dressing on the second day but I like a lot of dressing and it seemed to soak in. This is worth making!
Hey thanks🙂 I’ll try this recipe after Navratri (fasting period of 7 days). Love from India💕✨
How fascinating! I couldn’t imagine fasting that long. You do eat something though right?
Yeah Yeah! Even I can’t fast that long. I eat fruits, vegetables and dairy products. No bread,no onion&garlic,no meat.
Oh thank God! lol
Lol, I agree with the Amish on what a salad should be!
They are great cooks!
Deliciousness! 💞
Thank you I ended up eating it all myself! Not in one day of course…lol
Looks Fab… and I can imagine all the flavours combining well. Yes, that’s a meal. I’m going to try it this weekend. (Another eye-catching serving dish. I’m going to pay closer attention to see if a pattern/dish EVER makes a re-appearance. 🙂
Hahaha I guarantee you will see repeats! You will love this salad! I had plenty leftover by the second day and because I like dressing, I added more but it was perfect the first day. If I had a croissant I would have made a sandwich with it the second day! I hope you love it as much as I did!
Yummy. Keep sharing.
I will thank you!
Interesting!!
Thank you!
Fresh, nourishing, and delightful 🙂 Thank you 🙂 amitiés
You are very welcome! Thank you for the nice comment!
This looks delicious! I love broccoli 🙂
Me too Jacquie! I use to eat a head of broccoli everyday for lunch and I lost 72#. I need to do it again…lol
This sounds terrific!
It really was! Another great Amish recipe. Thank you!!!!
Looks delicious! 💕
This looks delicious Diane. I often make a broccoli, walnut and bacon salad, bit this looks so much better.
Thank you Chris! Oh my that sounds delicious too!
My mouth is watering! Yum.
Awwww thank you!
I would think it could be a meal as well – there’s lots of stuff in that salad.
This is delicious, really simple ingedients and they shine because the dish isn’t complicated.
Thanks so much!
Making this on Saturday to bring to a bbq!
I hope it was a huge hit!
Yet another yummy looking dish. It’s only 9.28 a.m. here and it’s making me hungry already.
Hahaha I hope it was a good day! Thank you for your nice comment! 💖
Anything with bacon is my cup of tea
I went to Jungle Jim’s (I did a post on it) and they had an entire section of everything bacon flavored. I have a friend that loves mints and bacon so I bought her bacon flavored mints!
I love this salad. That would make a good covered dish to share. Thanks for sharing.
I agree! I visited Amish Country yesterday and the restaurant had it on the salad bar without the chicken. You’re welcome!
I’d have to agree! This is a meal! 😊
It sure was…many meals! Lol
💕 😊
