Ham Salad Sandwich

This recipe is great way to use up any leftover ham. I used the leftover ham that I had frozen from Easter. I thawed it out and I used my Kitchen Aid grinding attachment and ground up 3 cups of ham in no time at all. I love my Kitchen Aid Mixer!

Combine all of the ingredients and using a spoon mix well.

Place the Ham Salad on a bun or bread with lettuce and serve.

You can also skip the bread and place the Ham Salad on a bed of lettuce.

Cover and refrigerate leftovers.

Ham Salad Sandwich

  • 3 cups fully cooked ground ham
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or Miracle Whip, more or less to your taste
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped celery
  • 4 tsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion, optional
  • 1 Tbsp. yellow mustard

  1. In a medium bowl combine the ground ham, with all of the other ingredients mixing well.
  2. Place the ham salad on a bun or bread with lettuce and serve. You can also serve it just over lettuce.
  3. Refrigerate leftovers.

  1. Hi. I just read this recipe and I hope you don’t laugh, like I have had a few do when I admitted that I had never had a egg salad sandwich til a couple of months ago. I did write this recipe down as I have never had a ham salad sandwich before either. I will let you know how it goes.

    • I would never laugh! This was my first time eating it myself and it was amazing! My Mother in law loves it and buys it all the time so I decided to try making it and I am so glad I did! Do let me know what you think please!
