Homemade Meatballs
I finally came up with a delicious Homemade Meatball recipe that my husband and I both absolutely loved! I made these with half ground beef and half Italian sausage. I used an ice cream scoop to form them so they are as big as they are good!
Ingredients
Place the ground beef in a large bowl.
Add the Italian sausage and
mix well with your hands.
Mix the dry ingredients into
the ground beef mixture.
Add the milk and egg then
mix well with your hands.
Using an ice cream scoop,
make 24 meatballs.
Place the meatballs on a large
baking sheet covered with foil and
heavily sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree
oven for 30 minutes.
Pour enough spaghetti sauce into a slow
cooker to make it about 1/2” deep.
Layer the meatballs on top
of the spaghetti sauce.
Pour the remaining sauce on top of the
meatballs. Cook on high for two hours.
Remove the meatballs to a plate.
Serve on top of spaghetti with the sauce,
make a meatball sub or just eat them as is!

I had meatballs just a few days ago for lunch, would’ve loved to have stumbled upon this recipe then so I could try it out, well saving it for another time.. 🙂
Yes I know what you mean because these make 24 meatballs and most of mine are in the freezer. It will be a while before I make them again too. Thanks Chef!
Diane those meatballs looks delicious.
Thank you they were very good! I made so many recipes and finally have a keeper!
Your meatballs look extremely scrumptious, Diane 🙂
Thanks Karin it took a long time to figure out one we loved!
Looks great 👍
Thank you!
Delicious! Great idea to use the slow cooker. 😋
I do more cooking in my Ninja slow cooker than the oven! Call me a slow cooker fin attic!
Thanks!
Meatballs and sausages are my great weaknesses.
I totally understand….lol!
So yummy! I used to add Italian breadcrumbs. And now I want spaghetti 🍝😁
We eat spaghetti almost once a week! It’s a staple in our house..lol
Oh yum! Haven’t had it in probably five years😬 That’s going to have to change!😁
Wow that’s a long time!
That looks awesome! Would have to try it 😋
Thanks they were very good!
These look and sound delicious. I never thought of using Italian sausages with minced beef. It sounds ideal, as I often find the Italian sausages are just a bit to spicey on their own.
This was the first time trying meatballs with sausage and the first time we were both thrilled with the recipe!
Thank you for the recipe. I really like the meatball and it would be very happy if I am able to make it by myself. Thank you 🙂
Very easy you can do this! You’re welcome!
I use a similar mixture, only a lot more hot stuff in it like tobasco, chilli and tomato sauce/ketchup and then roll up in puff pastry – sausage rolls!! These meatballs look great and the ice cream scoop is such a great idea!! Donna 🧚🏻♀️❤️🙏 donnadoesdresses.com
OMG I love using puff pastry, what a great idea Donna. Thanks!
It’s an Aussie favourite – the old sausage roll!! Great with tomato sauce on it – which I think you call ketchup .🧚🏻♀️❤️🙏
Baking meatballs in the oven is really the only way to go. I used to cook them in a pan on the stove, but I could never get them nice and evenly done – one side would always be burnt! I love your recipe (as always). 🙂
Thank you so much!!! I was so happy to finally figure out a recipe we love! Have a great weekend!
Divine! was at the grocer last night and had bought about 10 packs of minced meat on a mad reduction, planned to freeze some and do a batch of chilli, but here’s another idea of what to do with the rest😀 great! hope it works without the sausage ? as i don’t have any just now. thank you
Score! I’m sure it will taste great!
I like the idea of adding sausage. We recently have been including sausage in our meatloaf.
Thank you sausage was the key ingredient to finally finding the perfect meatballs.
These look amazing, Diane! Can’t wait to try them. 😋
Enjoy we really love them. ❤️
Sounds delicious!
Thank you❤️
Wow great idea to use sausage! Meatballs are pretty tasty and I bet these ones are the tastiest!
They really were and a nice change of taste. Thank you!
