M & M Cookies
I came up with this M & M Cookie recipe many, many years ago. The cookies come out of the oven perfect every time. I bake them on parchment paper which keeps them from spreading out too thin. I like to use the red and green M & M’s because these cookies are part of my Christmas cookie tradition. There is nothing fancy about these cookies, they are just a delicious homemade M & M Cookie and a huge hit in our house.
Ingredients
Whisk together the dry
ingredients and set aside.
Mix the butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla and water.
Add the eggs one at a time mixing well after each egg.
Slowly mix in the dry ingredients until all combined.
Stir in by hand as many M & M’s as you would like.
Place a heaping tablespoon of cookie dough 2” apart on a
baking sheet covered with oven safe parchment paper.
Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 10-12 minutes
or until golden brown.

Diane these look delicious. I have to confess I’m not much of a scratch baker, actually scratch cook lol. However since retiring I have more time and I’m doing it more.

Once you start tasting how much better the food tastes you won’t want anything but your own homemade food! Thank you Miss Hammie and congrats on retirement!

“too thin” :-]

Nope they were made with an ice cream scoop. You can’t tell the size by the picture. It is just the way the picture makes them look. They are thick enough to stack that entire bunch…lol

My problem is being an English major about a century ago…I was just correcting your spelling – to thin vs too thin. :-]

I always make sure not to use all the M & M’s as a bag really is a bit too much. Then they can eat the rest while the cookies bake (the best part). Thanks Cheryl!
