Shrimp Linguine Alfredo
This recipe is so easy to make even for beginners! I have simple steps for each process of the recipe. I have made pasta with Alfredo many different ways. This recipe I adapted from a Campbell Soup recipe years ago. I use to always use parmesan cheese in a jar from the store, but ever since I tasted what a block of parmesan cheese that I grate myself tastes like, I will never go back. It greatly enhances the flavor of every recipe I have used it in. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with buying the jar of parmesan cheese, I did it for years and still have a jar in my refrigerator. My grandkids love when I make spaghetti and they pour it on!
Ingredients
Rinse cooked shrimp with cold water and take the shell off. Of course since you are the cook, make sure you taste one to see if they are good!
Boil linguine according to package directions.
Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
Add cream, salt, pepper, cheese and soup to pan with the butter.
Stir to combine, cooking until hot and bubbly. Then add cooked shrimp and stir. Cook just to get the shrimp warm, about 1 minute. Take off the burner and set aside.
When pasta is about 3-4 minutes from being done, add broccoli to the water.
Drain pasta well into a colander and return to the pan.
Pour sauce with shrimp into pasta pan. Mix well.
Arrange on a plate and serve. Top with additional parmesan cheese if you wish.
