Frozen Strawberry Cream Pie & Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

It’s strawberry season and the time of the year that I make two kinds of strawberry pies. I have shared these pies before but they deserve to be in the spotlight again.
This delicious Frozen Strawberry Cream Pie above, makes two pies to put into your freezer. It is the perfect dessert to serve your unexpected guests because once it’s frozen, all you have to do is take it out of the freezer and serve.

I will be making my granddaughters favorite Strawberry Rhubarb Pie too. Of course it is mandatory I share it with her!

These both look delicious.
Thank you! We love strawberry season.
Thank you Ned!
They look very delicious 😋
Thank you Randy!
This looks delicious! We are about to pick our rhubarb.
My rhubarb gets picked in early May. My family always hints to have some, however, the mole tunneled through the garden and I still can’t get the rhubarb back like it was.
Your strawberry rhubarb pie is a favourite recipe in our home. Make it at least once in the Spring time with our rhubarb harvest. 😃
Same here Ab. I have a rhubarb cake recipe and I took a cake to work years ago and had the guys asking for the recipe. Lol Rhubarb, you either love it or hate it.
Yay for strawberry time! We’ll for sure be making the strawberry rhubarb pie!
Best fruit of the season!
Ah, strawberry season! Just got some lovelies at the farmers market.
They seem to come and go so fast.
Great recipes Dianne. We love strawberries and our strawberries season will soon begin. The place we usually buy our strawberries said they will have them available mid next week. We’re very excited and rhubarb is also one of my favourites😊
You need to try this one Susan. I have to make it every year for my grandkids, so they said. It’s been three years that I have made them some. They always want the entire pie to take home, I tell them 2 kids would not eat the entire pie so Grandma will keep some for me to. lol
😆
That looks so good! My daughter has had a major sweet tooth lately, but I don’t handle sugar well, so I rarely have it around the house. But that strawberry pie looks refreshing and yummy! I might be okay trying that!
Thank you! It really is perfect because it is frozen. Even if it’s too sweet for you, it would be great for you to give a piece to your daughter and leave the rest frozen for another day. To me it was like eating ice cream.
Beautiful and yummy!
Thank you so much Janet!
Well, yum to both of them – one creamy and the other fruity and tangy with ice-cream. It would be hard to pick a favorite, so a slice of each please. 🙂
Would you like ice cream on top too? Talk about a sugar high! 😂
Yes, a sugar high indeed. I haven’t had ice cream in forever – my mom became a fan of frozen yogurt and we used to have that all the time, Breyer’s Vanilla Bean, which she used for “heartburn” … a likely story I told her.
Smart woman! 🤣
Strawberries will just be a week to ten days here in Ontario. I love strawberry and rhubarb pie.
I just took one out of the oven!
That looks sooo good 🍓
Thank you!
I have never had rhubarb. I need to try it someday.
It’s very tart Linda and when we were kids we dipped it in sugar in order to be able to eat it. I won’t eat it that way anymore but in baked goods it is so delicious. There is something about the sweet and tart that I really love.
I like them both – you can almost say one is perfect for summer and the other for winter!
I only make the strawberry rhubarb pie in June when our strawberries are ripe. My rhubarb I pick in May so I do need to freeze it, it freezes very well. I love the frozen pie because it’s ready to serve any guests that pop in like grandkids, even though the strawberry rhubarb is their favorite.
