Lemon Curd Cream Cheese Pastry

What is it about puff pastry that is so good? Throw in some cream cheese, lemon curd then top it off with a lemon glaze and it is even more amazing! If you don’t like lemon, then use any flavor canned pie filling instead.

Lemon curd does it for me
We used to buy it all the time at Smucker’s but they no longer carry it so now I order it from Amazon. I don’t know what we did before Amazon!

I always cheated when I said I would give up something. When we were kids we gave up meat on Good Friday. As I got older I kept it up until I honestly forgot and ate meat. After that I figured I already blew it so why bother. Lol
I have given up a lot of things, but my mom never had meat during Lent, but she didn’t particularly like fish, but we’d have salmon croquettes or tuna roll (in a large crescent roll). I gave up meat on Fridays and decided to stick with it year around. It is not a hardship as I don’t eat much meat anyway. Pepperidge Farm Goldfish is a hardship … I can’t have them in the house.

This pastry blends two of my favourite flavors: lemon and cream cheese. Yum! 😋
It’s delicious with cherry or strawberry too. I am going to make this lemon for my MIL’s birthday in May.
All of those ingredients are so good. Put them together and you know it will be a winner.
