  1. Ooh, YUM! I love cherry desserts, and this one looks amazing. I’ll have to make it sometime for my brother-in-law (he also loves cherries) and me. And I guess we could share with the rest of the family 😉

  2. That is a nice way to dress up and enjoy oats, Diane. So sad that cherry season and summer are over but long live the frozen sour cherries! 😋

    • The frozen fruit in a dessert tastes as good as fresh. This recipe uses sour cherries so I love freezing them, however, sweet cherries we buy a lot of when they are in season since they don’t appeal to me frozen.

  3. Hmm, it must be great to find cherries in your freezer when they are no longer in season! And what an easy recipe – it gets a “yummy vote” from me!
I’ve realised that frozen fruit makes a delicious compote (especially when using various berries), so in this case frozen sure works just as well as fresh!

    • I keep cherries and my homegrown blueberries in the freezer. It is really nice to pull them out a whip up a recipe. I have never made a compote, using various berries must taste delicious!
