One Minute Microwave S’more

What do you do if you, your kids or grandkids are craving a S’more but you don’t have a campfire? Make them in your microwave! They taste just as delicious as the campfire and you can make them in one minute.
I tried them years ago with both the chocolate and marshmallow on the graham cracker, in the microwave, but found the chocolate melts too much this way. Now, I only microwave the marshmallow on the graham cracker as heat from the marshmallow softens the chocolate without the chocolate oozing out as much when you bite into it. After all, I want to eat the chocolate not leave it all over the plate.

Break one graham cracker in half and place it on a microwave safe plate. Lay a large marshmallow in the middle of the graham cracker.

Microwave for 5-10 seconds on high. Watch carefully and when the marshmallow doubles in size take it out of the microwave.

Immediately press half of a room temperature chocolate bar on top.

Put the other graham cracker half of top. Let it sit for 30 seconds to soften the chocolate then dig in!

A quick fix craving 🙂
Yes! My once a year special treat! Lol
Thank you Ned!
I was just talking with T about s’mores last night. We’re hoping to go camping before school starts and this was on our wish list. If we get rained out, we’ll know this Microwave alternative!
I hope you get to go camping. There is that special feeling when you get to roast the marshmallows over the campfire. Didn’t T make a tent in your house a long time ago? This would be fun to make in the microwave if he ever does that again.
The weather ended up being bad this weekend so we skipped camping. Having a low key long weekend at home instead.
And yes, we put up the tent during the first pandemic summer in 2020! Thanks for remembering. 😊
Great idea!
Thank you!
This is a great way to do them, it seems. Especially in the winter months when you want a treat but can’t light a fire outside. 🌸
Thank you Kymber! The first time I thought about making these in the house I was going to roast the marshmallow over the electric stove burner. Then I figured with my luck it would fall off and catch fire so I opted for the microwave! 🤣
LOL That would be my luck, too. 😀 I think the microwave sounds like a great solution.
Have a terrific weekend!
Thank you Kymber and you too!
This is the last thing I need! 😉 Seriously, what a great idea. Now, if I could just silence that microwave beep at midnight….
Haha that’s funny because that is when I have mine. I won’t make them while my hubby is up because he will just eat the chocolate and what a waste! 🤣
Snack time tonight
Haha that’s when I had mine too, at night.
Fun, Diane!
Thank you Mitzy!
This is great! No campfire required 🙂
Thank you, I make them every summer, my own special treat. Lol
The microwave doesn’t quite manage to invoke the atmosphere of camping and a fire. 🙂
But the taste does! 🤣
Clever! I used to love the marshmallow creme on peanut butter (Fluffernutter) back in the day. 🙂
That sounds amazing Linda! I have never bought the marshmallow crème before.
I used to eat it a lot when I was younger. You take a spoon, put it in hot water, then it is easy to dip into the marshmallow creme and put it on your peanut butter on your toast. They even had a jingle for it for a TV commercial.
That’s brilliant dipping the spoon in hot water first. I think I would like this best on toast too.
Yes, because even though the marshmallow creme doesn’t have to be refrigerated, heating the spoon made it easy to get it out of the jar before your toast got cold. Now I want some. They used to sell it at Meijer – where they have the marshmallows/baking stuff. My mom used to bake a small chocolate cake, cut it in half and put marshmallow creme in between the layers and chocolate icing on top. Not a lot of marshmallow creme as it is pretty sweet.
That is brilliant! You get the taste of the cake, marshmallow crème and chocolate icing. YUM!
Yes, you have to try it Diane. If memory serves me right, it was a small square cake, maybe made in the toaster oven?
Not unless I have company or I will eat it all, Terry only eats chocolate cake. I am making a no bake eclair dessert for Labor Day.
I like that idea of a no-bake cake and eclairs sounds delicious. I know you will take photos so we can salivate over it. 🙂 I know you will put marshmallow creme on your next shopping list!
I will definitely be posting the eclair cake. It is super easy and delicious.
That’s good – I will wait to salivate over it. 🙂
Here is the commercial for you Diane:

OMG I have never seen that commercial! I would definitely try it if I had the marshmallow fluff. Guess what I had Terry buy at the grocery store? I love Jiff Peanut Butter and they came out with chocolate peanut butter. Now I want to come up with a recipe, I might make cookies with it.
Do you follow Meijer on FB Diane? I don’t know if I followed them, or they are just sponsored ads, but I also get “Meijer’s new finds” by e-mail. I did see that and thought I’d like to try it – oh imagine the chocolate Jif and marshmallow creme. 🙂 I only buy Jif too. Yes, those would be awesome cookies!
I look at their website for perks, coupons and the weekly ad when I make my grocery list. I don’t look at FB very much unless I am bored and that doesn’t happen much. Lol
I don’t follow them, so it must be since I go on the website for sales … I get my weekly preview Friday so I look then.
That makes sense.
This should be served in 5-star restaurants … it’s THAT good!
Hahaha you are so funny Corna! I do agree though, it is THAT good!
