Pretzel Hugs

Take a salty waffle pretzel, add a sweet Hugs Chocolate Kiss and a M & M on top for the perfect Christmas snack. I made these with my 10-year-old granddaughter and we had so much fun. This could be a really fun snack to make with your little ones too.

  1. I love love love Hersheys Hugs. Especially during this time of the year, paired with the warm fuzzies of the holidays. I’m gonna go buy a bag of them now today thanks to you! 😊😆

    • Thank you Linda, she’s getting old enough to try most anything. She went to her friends yesterday and they made the hard crack candy. They made a batch and burned it so guess who she called to get it right. 🤣

      • A girl I worked with years ago made chocolate suckers in white and brown chocolate. She made very cute Easter Bunny and Chick suckers. I used to get a couple for the kids down the street who waved at me every night when I walked down the street after getting off the bus. They are now grown up with kids of their own – I looked for them one time. We learned out to make a hot dog in a biscuit and that’s all I remember. My mom used to make pigs in blankets where she’d fry up the Bob Evans sausage links with onions, then bake them in pastry dough to have with homemade potato soup. I was spoiled … haven’t had them since around 2008 I’d guess.

      • I have tons of candy and sucker molds for every occasion. One year I made every kind of candy from chocolate covered cherries, caramel, coconut , peanuts etc. for Christmas gifts. I used to help my developmentally challenged clients make candy in the molds to give to their parents for Christmas. I also made homemade dog biscuits for my dog and to sell at my craft shows. I never knew they had a mold for the Oreo cookies. I have it in my Amazon cart already. 🤣 You may think you were spoiled but there is no greater joy for a baker/cook to make things our loved ones truly enjoy.

      • The same girl at work who made the chocolate suckers made dog bones (beef or chicken) and she took orders for them, they were that popular. She put them in red net Christmas stockings and did a gift tag with their name hand lettered in calligraphy. You creative people you! What a wonderful idea for your developmentally challenged clients to give their parents candy they made themselves – very thoughtful of you Diane. That’s funny – you will be making the Oreo cookies with love as well. And … today she posted about making airbrush cookies and showed how to do it, also for the same goodie bags as the Oreo cookies for a holiday party. Very cool to see how she did it.
