Christmas Pretzel Hugs

Take a salty waffle pretzel, add a sweet Hugs Chocolate Kiss and a M & M on top for the perfect Christmas snack. I made these with my 10-year-old granddaughter and we had so much fun. This could be a really fun snack to make with your little ones too.

Place parchment paper on a large
baking sheet or use a silicone mat.

Place about 70 waffle pretzels
on the parchment paper.

Unwrap the Hugs and pour
the M & M’s into a small bowl.

Place one Hugs on top of each pretzel.

Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven
for 4-6 minutes. Watch carefully after
4 minutes, mine took 6 minutes and
looked like this when they were ready.
Remove from the oven and immediately
drop one M & M in the middle of the
melted candy. Make sure the candy is
completely cool and set before
packaging them or stacking them.

Ingredients
- 70 Hershey Hugs Kisses (or chocolate kisses)
- 70 waffle salted pretzels
- 35 red M & M’s
- 35 green M & M’s
Directions
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or use a silicone mat.
- Place the pretzels on the parchment paper or mat.
- Unwrap the Hugs Kisses and place them into a small bowl. Place the M & M’s into another small bowl.
- Place one Hugs Kiss on top of each pretzel.
- Bake for 4-6 minutes watching carefully after 4 minutes. The chocolate should have melted enough that the tip is gone. Remove from the oven.
- Place one M & M on top of one pretzel/chocolate and press lightly. If the chocolate is melted enough the M & M will sink slightly into the chocolate smoothly. If not, put it back into the oven in one minute intervals until melted. Immediately finish placing the M & M’s on top of the rest of the pretzels/chocolate.
- Allow the chocolate to completely cool and set before removing them from the baking sheet. I put mine in the refrigerator to set. Store in a covered container at room temperature.

My granddaughter LOVED doing these, she even unwrapped all of the hugs herself. I bet Peter will too. ❤️

Peter will not be unwrapping them, there won’t be any left. He loves his sweets too much.

Haha My grandson probably would have too. My granddaughter unwrapped all of them then kept the foil wrapper to make a foil ball. Lol

I remember when I first discovered Hugs in my teens. They are my favourite, and I prefer them more to Kisses (chocolate kind, I welcome real kisses anytime!). These look wonderful and straightforward to make. Will add them to the list. I’m for sure gonna tackle the pretzels.

They are at our house a lot so I have to keep them busy. Now that they are older, 7 & 10, they just help themselves to all my craft supplies and even make crafts by themselves. I try to get them both involve in cooking. My 10 year old loves to cook and bake, my 7 year old just wants to eat! Lol
