  1. Delicious 😋 I have had the pie both ways. In my opinion, you are not able to tell which is which. My youngest son loves pumpkin 🎃 and when he was young one time when we had friends over for dinner I made a sweet potato pie and pasted it off as a pumpkin pie 🥧 and he loved it – he never knew it was sweet potato 😊

    • The taste was the same but pumpkin pie texture seems a little smoother even though I used the mixer with the sweet potato pie. But then again, had I not known I probably would have thought the texture was the same. 🤣

    • This was my first time making or tasting sweet potato pie. Most sweet potato pies have a lot of nutmeg in them and I was afraid it would be way too much for me. I decided to use the same spices I make my pumpkin pie with and am I glad I did. Other than the texture it tasted just like pumpkin pie.

  2. I’m sorry your body is not in a good place. The evidence is in your already opting out of cooking for the holidays. Your blog makes it clear how much you enjoy cooking—when you are not in pain. I’m praying for pain relief and healing for you. 🙏🏼 I’ve heard of sweet potato pie, but I’ve never had any. It looks just like pumpkin pie—only more perfect with no cracks on the top. Beautiful!

    • Thank you for your kind words Linda. I try to post one new recipe each week as with any luck I get one good day a week. I have learned to accept it and not feel guilty about backing off from the things I used to do, one day at a time. ❤️

  3. It looks like a pumpkin pie and I wouldn’t have guessed otherwise if you didn’t say what it was. I’ll have to try it out. Love sweet potatoes.

  4. Wow, that looks incredible! I’ve never had sweet potato pie although I love sweet potatoes. I’m going to have to try this. Along with sweet potato donuts which is another recipe I recently saw.

  5. Nice! We love pumpkin pie and have never tried it with sweet potatoes. It’s definitely going on our menu – thanks Diane 🍠.
(Apparently I have a problem leaving comments on your posts – it seems I reply in stead of comment. Not sure what’s going on with WordPress, but hopefully it will be sorted out soon)!
