It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 09-29-23

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
NO SPAM OR VIDEOS WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is CHICKEN & TOMATO BASIL CREAM SAUCE.

Wow your dinner 🥘 looks delicious. Yo Ishtar we had a “Creamy Parmesan Dijon Chicken” and was made with white wine in place of chicken broth.
Thank you Randy! Everyone seems to be making chicken, thanks for sharing yours.
Nice post
Thank you ❣️
I carb load most Fridays to prep for a long run on the weekend. Nothing fancy. But I will try this recipe next week. Thx for sharing Diane. 👏
I carb load to but at my age I head to my chair🤣😉 Enjoy Nigel!
this sauce sounds so rich and delicious
We really enjoy it, thank you Beth!
Looks delicious Diane
Thank you!
This might make a nice dessert after the chicken https://viewfromtheback.com/2022/11/05/the-musette-salted-caramel-iced-apple-cake/
Anything with salted caramel it great in my eyes! Thank you for sharing Sheree!
My pleasure Diane
Two great minds…
Chicken breasts with diced tomatoes and mushrooms. A one pan bake that works well, but smells even better.
2 chicken breasts
1 large can diced tomatoes
Sliced onion
Garlic powder, salt to taste.
Put it all in a pan. Cover and bake at 400 degrees until done, depending on the size of the breasts, about an hour.
Also works well with thighs or turkey wings.
You can never go wrong with a one pan chicken dinner, thanks for sharing JC!
Sounds yummy. It would be great over rice or pasta, too.
It would but you would probably want to double the sauce. Thanks so much Katelon!
Your Friday dinners and other day-of-the-week dinners always look so appetizing Diane.
Thank you Linda, it’s so hard making dinners but I keep plugging away. My grandson was over a week ago and he asked for cow heart. I was thrilled and so glad I had one in the freezer, he loved it!
You are not only teaching your grandson and grandaughter how to cook, but how to enjoy a variety of foods. How long before the new baby is ready to cut its teeth on something out of the ordinary?
My granddaughter doesn’t come overnight anymore, starting in her teenage years and friends come first. However I hired her to clean the house every other week so at least we get to have her here for a few hours. Had the baby and family here Sunday, he’s almost 3 months old already!
Oh yes, the teenage years and lots of time spent with friends and putting that new iPhone to good use texting with them. Well, that’s good – she will be there to visit and work at the same time. 🙂 Three months old – wow. Time goes by quickly and already went through the diaper present long ago!
New Mexico chicken chile made with fresh roasted Hatch chiles–hot and delicious. Served with whole wheat tortillas.
That sounds amazing Linda!
A wonderful recipe and I like the dish you served it in!!!!!
Thank you so much Mary!
