It’s Friday What’s For Dinner 08-04-23

Anyone that makes a homemade dinner is welcome to type the name of one recipe that you prepared in the comments, then we can all scroll through the comments for recipe ideas. This will be a weekly Friday post and only recipes on the Friday posts will be allowed.
If someone wants your recipe and asks, there will be no pressure to share it, it’s up to you. I will accept links, but only to the recipe and NO VIDEO. It may take me a day to approve it so I can make sure the link is legitimate and not spam.
NO SPAM OR VIDEOS WILL BE ALLOWED, ONLY RECIPES OR YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.
I find the hardest part of making dinner isn’t the process, but figuring out what to make. So go ahead and post ONE RECIPE ONLY EACH FRIDAY in the comments or feel free to just read what others have made. Either way, I hope we all get some great ideas to make our meal planning easier.
My “It’s Friday What’s For Dinner” in the picture above is SEAFOOD MACARONI & CHEESE.

Good idea Dianne.
Thank you Graham!
My OH is partial to a home made lobster mac & cheese. This looks equally delicious.
Well I definitely agree with your OH! However, the price of lobster here is outrageous. We live by the lake and I picked up a pound of cooked fish from our seafood restaurant. It was $20 a pound, I think the lobster may have been cheaper. 🤣
It varies depending on its origin with cold water being more expensive but typically I’d use frozen for this type of dish
This might be nice for dessert https://viewfromtheback.com/2022/11/05/the-musette-salted-caramel-iced-apple-cake/
That sounds like a nice dessert any time Sheree!
Thanks Diane
sounds so good
Thank you!
yummm
Thank you Beth!
We’re thinking of treating the hubby’s parents to lobster roll – not tonight – but sometime this weekend for their hospitality. Hope you have a nice weekend!
I had my first lobster roll on vacation in Mystic Connecticut, I will never forget it! I hope you are having great weather and a wonderful time Ab!
Mac and cheese is alway a fave. Adding seafood to it just gives it that extra oomph!
Tonight here it will be a mushroom and cheese omelette with provolone cheese and fresh fried mushrooms with a touch of sweet onion. Pretty simple and really good.
Oh, and by the way, today is National White Wine Day! Keep the holiday!!!
I want to post a omelette made in a mug. I need to get ham though so eventually I will. Who are you kidding JC, every day is National Wine Day! 🤣😂🤣
Oh your feature photo looks so yummy and I am going to check out that recipe you linked 🙂
Thank you Tierney! The pictures are awful as it was one of the first posts and pictures I put on my blog. What a difference 6 years can make! However, the cake is delightful!
This looks amazing and might I suggest a nice light dessert – https://newclassicrecipe.com/2023/06/02/whole-orange-and-almond-cake-a-slice-of-sunshine-on-your-plate/
Thank you Bernadette!
Looks delicious Diane – perfect for any day, but especially Lent or for those who observe meatless Fridays.
Thank you Linda! Yes it is a good one for Lent.
This dish looks so good. I can imagine it would be delicious with any kind of cheese–maybe provolone or Monterey Jack.
Yes, whatever you have on hand or your favorite. Thanks so much Linda! 💕
A quick and really tasty meal – chickpea tacos – https://rainbowplantlife.com/chickpea-tacos/
Thank you for sharing, I see why it’s called rainbow plant life.
This looks wonderfully creamy, cheesy!
Thank you Mary!
