Golden Kolachy Cookies – Four Ingredients

The fruit preserves in these cookies add a nice variety to any cookie tray. What is fascinating about this recipe is that there isn’t any added sugar in the recipe. The sugar is only in the form of the fruit preserves.

These look beautiful and I am sure delicious. Really like the idea a low sugar treat.
Thank you Bernadette, one of the few sweets I make that is low sugar. Lol
Great minds Diane! I just posted the Hungarian version of these!
Yes and they look delicious!
I recall my grandmother making these one holiday and they were delicious. Different fruit preserves made for a very colorful presentation as well.
Awe I love family memories from food! 💕💕💕
Looks delicious! I’m already thinking which fruit preserves I will use 😉.
I had one person say they used lemon curd! So many possibilities. Thank you❣️(Sorry this is so late, I am way behind!)
Don’t worry Diane! I’m also a few days (or is it weeks?) behind! Just arrive back in our ‘temporary’ town after a three week holiday … was amazing! But now, it’s on with the new year!
Love the recipe – four ingredients!
Thank you the jam makes them taste so delicious.
Thank you!
Even the dish looks great!
Awwww thank you JC!
I love these Diane … my mom made them back in the day and now when Ann Marie makes them, she stops by with a plate of them (sometimes she makes iced sugar cookies). We had a friend of the family who was Hungarian and used to make these for days to give away to family and friends.
hank you Linda! Sounds like you have some nice friends and family.
Delicious—most delicious!

Thank you Mitzy!
Thank you!
I want these right now!
I always thought they could be made with sugar free jam too. Thank you Ab!
Saw something similar on Dorothy’s page recently. Fine by me; can’t get enough of these tasties! 😋
Yes Dorothy’s were Hungarian if I remember right. Her recipe looks sweeter as there is sugar in the cookie and mine does not. I would like to try her recipe next time too. I’m like you, the more the merrier!
Yes, they were Hungarian. We have an Italian version with sugar sprinkled on top; sweet and tasty!
Thank you!
I made your recipe today. I used a lemon curd that I had already made and that worked very well. I made some with jam as well. Very nice treat. It’s a keeper!
Ohhhhhh! I never thought about lemon curd! Your a genius Nancy, I love lemon. Thank you 💕
I’ve had these, Diane. They are delicious and easy to make! Thank you!
