Slow Cooker Herbed Chicken Drumsticks

Did you know that you do not need to put liquid in the slow cooker to cook in it? These chicken drumsticks were cooked without any liquid and they were so easy, tender and delicious. This recipe can easily be doubled like I did.

In a small bowl combine the seasonings.

Place the drumsticks into a large bowl.

Drizzle oil over them and using your

hands rub the oil all over the chicken.

Sprinkle the seasonings on the chicken.

Using your hands, rub the seasonings all

over the chicken. Cover and let the

chicken sit in the refrigerator

overnight (optional).

Place the chicken in the slow cooker with

no liquid and cook on low for 6 hours.

Then serve!

  1. Chicken is such a favourite in our kitchen (I have just taken some chicken from the refrigerator for a chicken & broccoli bake for tonight’s dinner). It’s amazing how just a few spices on chicken drumsticks kan deliver such a delicious meal!

  2. Yes, this tip I know. I do a pot of thighs every week to have on hand. Never add anything but a little salt & pepper. The “juice” in the pot after is a great start to chicken broth too.

  3. I made these today for my son and his family. They were a hit. The kids loved how tender they were and the adults liked the flavour. I will definitely make them again.
