Slow Cooker Herbed Chicken Drumsticks

Did you know that you do not need to put liquid in the slow cooker to cook in it? These chicken drumsticks were cooked without any liquid and they were so easy, tender and delicious. This recipe can easily be doubled like I did.

In a small bowl combine the seasonings.

Place the drumsticks into a large bowl.
Drizzle oil over them and using your
hands rub the oil all over the chicken.

Sprinkle the seasonings on the chicken.

Using your hands, rub the seasonings all
over the chicken. Cover and let the
chicken sit in the refrigerator
overnight (optional).

Place the chicken in the slow cooker with
no liquid and cook on low for 6 hours.

Then serve!

Thank you Michael 🥰
Fast prepared and delicious as known. 🙂 Thanks for the tip, Diane! Enjoy a good weekend! xx Michael
You too Michael and thank you! ❤️
I should really get more creative with herbs.
❤️
I should be more creative with herbs.
I’m not really that creative either Betsy. We have our favorites which are the ones I grow. Occasionally I will change but pretty much use the same ones.
Legs made in a slow cooker must taste great. Thanks for the recipe.
Regards
You’re welcome Ultra💕
Looks delicious. I love the mix of spices you used as your rub!
Thank you Ab they were even delicious the next few days cold. (I love left overs)
Leftovers are the best, indeed, cuz the flavors get time to cogitate and blend together. I love leftover chicken especially!
Looks delicious, Diane, and a must try. 😀

They were so delicious. I doubled the recipe and ate them for leftovers cold! Thank you Mitzy ❤️
I had no idea. Thanks for sharing this.
You are very welcome. 💕
Thank you so much for reblogging my recipe. 💕
I just bought some drumsticks, so I am going to try cooking them this way. They look delicious, Diane.
They were so good. My drumsticks were large and cooked through in 6 hours without falling apart. If you have small ones you may want to check the temperature in them sooner. Thank you Carla 💕
Thanks Diane, I will be sure to do that. It is dinner tomorrow.
I didn’t know you could do this in a slow cooker!
Sure can, I even made a cake in mine.
A cake?!?!? Okay you are the queen of slow cooking (bowing) 🙂
Stop you’re going to give me a big head! 😂
Diane, thanks for this delicious recipe and a great tip. I had no idea you could use a slow cooker that way.
You’re welcome💕
Mmmm! I will be making these!
They were so good and not mushy like when I made them with liquid.
No, I didn’t know that – I guess I’d assume it would burn or dry out. I usually just use cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup. I’m not as adventurous as you Diane!
I always used soup too Linda but the chicken always seemed mushy, this way was amazing.
I told Mackenzie to be sure to look for your recipes with the air fryer as she just got one recently.
I saw that, I didn’t say anything when I replied to that post, I figured I would let her ask if she wanted to. Her baby and puppy are so adorable. They look like wonderful parents, she’s a lucky little girl.
Well she strayed from her vegetarian diet while she was pregnant and I suspect she will return to it again, but I don’t think DJ follows a vegetarian diet. She was singing the praises of the air fryer though so I thought of you immediately. 🙂 Yes, a perfect little family – I agree with you Diane.
Sounds great and easy! Thanks!
You’re welcome ❤️
Thank you as have only used slow cooker for liquid stews and casseroles . So this will open up another set of meals for me. What one can learn is amazing if you keep ear to ground and eyes open
You are so welcome Kevin!
Chicken is such a favourite in our kitchen (I have just taken some chicken from the refrigerator for a chicken & broccoli bake for tonight’s dinner). It’s amazing how just a few spices on chicken drumsticks kan deliver such a delicious meal!
Yes spices make chicken seem like a whole different recipe when you change them. I used lemon pepper on our pork for dinner today with fresh sweet corn for our veggie. I love sweet corn season. Yummy ❤️
Yes, this tip I know. I do a pot of thighs every week to have on hand. Never add anything but a little salt & pepper. The “juice” in the pot after is a great start to chicken broth too.
You sound like me! I love having dark meat in the refrigerator to munch on too.
Like play dough to us…they can become anything!
Thank you so much 💕
I tried this recipe tonight, It was wonderful! Everybody loved it. Thank you.
I am so glad you loved it Lena, thank you for telling me and you’re very welcome.❤️
So am I! My family loved it too. It’s a keeper.
I’ll have to try this, looks so easy!
It is very easy and delicious, enjoy!
I usually add a little liquid, but I’m glad to know you don’t have to. And these herbed drumsticks look DEE-LISH!
Yes no liquid needed and they are very deelish, thank you!
I made these today for my son and his family. They were a hit. The kids loved how tender they were and the adults liked the flavour. I will definitely make them again.
Awesome Carla, thank you so much for telling me. 💕
