Buckeyes

Buckeyes are made with peanut butter, powdered sugar, butter and vanilla. They are rolled into a ball and dipped in chocolate, can it get any better than that?

  1. Hi. Oh my gosh, I love making these. I haven’t done it with part of the middle showing. I will try that. I usually just dip the whole ball.

How are you? Thank you for following my blog! I don’t know if you remember me from Unmeasured Journeys, but I also started a new art blog, where I saw your name! Hope you are doing great!

    • The reason you leave the top without chocolate is because they look exactly like the buckeye’s on the buckeye tree that way. I grew up with a Buckeye tree in my front yard. Congratulations on your new blog it looks great, glad I found you again.

      • Love that. I have seen buckeyes, but it’s been a long time. Will try these. Thank you so very much! I am glad you did, too!!! Hope you have a great day!

    • Haha they do have fun. My granddaughter went to school and told her teacher she has a famous grandma. The teacher said n you don’t, your kidding me. So she told her I had a blog with over 11,000 followers. Her teacher didn’t believer her and said what is the name of her blog. My granddaughter told her and she actually looked it up. Then she looked at my granddaughter and said she has more than 600,000 hits! She said I am going to follow your grandma! My granddaughter was so proud so the next day I gave her a bag of the pretzel hugs we made together to give to her teacher. My granddaughter is my biggest fan. Lol

    • You better believe it! My daughter has asked me twice already if I am making them. I don’t make them until 3-4 days before Christmas or they get eaten. By covering them with waxed paper and in an airtight container they do keep for a long time, just not in my house.

  2. By just looking at them, makes my mouth water! I had to google the Buckeye tree – never knew this is what its called. I wished I lived closer to you … I would come visit often (with an empty bowl) 😉.
