Copycat Orange Julius Drink

Have you ever visited an Orange Julius juice bar? My husband did a long time ago and he said the drink he had back then reminded him of Creamsicle Ice Cream just like this did. This easy recipe is made with frozen orange juice concentrate, milk and a few other ingredients and tasted great!
I found the recipe in a library book a few years ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t mark down the title so I can’t give credit to them. If anyone has this recipe and knows the title and author please let me know so I can give them credit.

Add all of the ingredients to the blender.

Blend on high speed just until combined,
this only takes a few seconds.

Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

Sounds very refreshing.
Thank you Mel it really was, even the grandkids loved it!
I love Orange Julius! I used to make them at my Mom’s. She had a blood orange tree. We’d use fresh OJ, dried milk powder/creamer, ice …..so yummy.
This was my first one and I agree with you…delicious!
So there aren’t Orange Julius stands in your malls where you live?
No, I live in a small town. Our mall should close it has so many stores that have gone out of business.
It is so sad to me that there are these half to completely empty malls all over the country. It seems there should be a way to re-purpose them.
Nobody wants to work anymore. Everyone of our businesses have help wanted signs. With no employees these places are closing up, it is so sad!
Yeah!! The perfect drink for our upcoming hot summer days – thanks Diane!
You’re welcome it was so refreshing!
Looks good from here. I do miss those creamsicles.
I think they still make them! I loved the drink. Thank you!
This is a new one for me Diane
Me too Sheree! I had the creamsicle ice cream but never in the form of a drink. It was very good!
This drink reminds me of a nice warm summer day by the pool. The creamsicle reference definitely makes it very appealing!
I would never have thought to put milk & OJ together! Even the grandkids loved it. Thank you!
Sounds like a Creamsicle to me!
Tasted like it too, so good!
Oh my goodness – I worked in a mall while in college for a while and was addicted to Orange Julius and would spend too much of my minimum wage money there – ha!
How funny! Now it’s Starbucks right? Hahaha If you make this let me know what you think.
My mom makes a similar recipe! So delicious!
Yes it really is, thank you Annie!
Thank you for this! I just bookmarked it. I’ll be making this often.
You’re welcome! I made it and had a glass then refrigerated the rest in the blender. The next day I blended it again for a few seconds and still good! My grandkids loved it too.
Looks and sounds delish. Does it have to be whole milk, you think? Not something we normally have on hand, but I suppose I could purchase for the sake of this recipe.
Thank you! I’m sure any would work, whole milk just gives it a richer taste. I actually considered trying half and half…lol
Good to know! Thanks. 🙂
Oh, the idea of a liquid Creamsicle really appeals to me Diane. This looks creamy and delicious!
It tasted so good Linda. I put the leftovers in the refrigerator overnight, remixed the next day in the blender for a about 10 seconds and it was as good as the day before. Thank you Linda! 💕
