Happy 4th of July!
I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July celebration. Enjoy your picnic, time with your family or whatever you do to celebrate. I am not cooking or celebrating this year except to watch my grandkids have fun with sparklers and smoke bombs, the legal stuff. Saturday night our neighbor did a professional style firework display for a solid hour. I sat on the front porch with the grandkids and enjoyed the show. Living in the country has it’s perks.

Happy 4th of July to your and your family. The fireworks sound wonderful. A perk indeed! We had kids setting off fireworks in the school field behind our room for Canada Day and I have to admit it made me nervous how close they were to our home. Lol.

Our neighbor across the street put on an hour professional style show on the 3rd. We sat on the front porch and enjoyed the show. Normally I freak out too but there was absolutely no wind and nothing came our way. We really enjoyed the show. My granddaughter was squealing with joy…lol

Thank you Katelon! He had all these cars pulling onto his grass and a cookout followed. I told my husband I had a feeling this would be the day he does it. My grandkids were so excited.

I didn’t cook much, what a nice break! It was a nice relaxing holiday. Took beer bread to my parents and visited a while. Made zucchini bread for my daughter and me. Had my daughter and grandkids here for fireworks. I threw hotdogs and brats in my Ninja Foodi because it was too hot for the grill and my husband thanked me!

I wish I lived in the country. I hear about your plot of land for flowers and veggie and fruit gardens and another blogger lives in the mountains of North Carolina and their neighbors from this tiny rural street get together all the time … I think simple is better and way more enjoyable.

I agree! I don’t know if it’s my age or what but I don’t need all these gadgets like boats, motorcycles, fancy cars etc. I am happy with nature, family and of course vacations….lol

Same here Diane – I just read a story on why you should take vacation. The stress factor if you do not escape from it all day after day, week after week. It is better to live our lives simply and to learn what is important and real and what makes you happy.
